I woke up when we landed. I was drowsy so my copilot helped me off. I was still mad at her, but honestly, I was too tired to do anything right now.
Once we were off the plane I felt myself being put into a car and before I knew it we were pulling into a hospital parking lot. I wanted to protest but I figured the doctor would be able to tell I didn't have a concussion, and then maybe my copilot would believe me.
Right?
Wrong.
Yep. She has a pretty severe concussion. Here's some medication, make sure she takes it every day. And she must keep off screens for about 2 weeks.
Oh, COME ON!
But I don't have a concussion!! Something weird is going on here. And I intend to prove it! As we were driving back to my house, I thought about everything. I was on a plane, a boulder crashed, I woke up, crashed into The Bermuda Triangle, woke up again in Australia 1954, fell asleep, and was somehow transported into the Bermuda Triangle again, got sucked in and ended up on the plane again like nothing happened. I think what I need to do first, is to find someone who believes that what happened to me is real.
Finally, we reached my house. I stepped out of the car and ignored my Copilot's helping hand. I know it was rude, but nothing was going right. In my house, I threw the pills away and searched the internet for "Mad Scientist". Up came an article on Wikipedia about Mad scientist characters in books. I tried again. "Real-world Mad Scientist" This one came up with a weird address and phone number: 438-8a9-3b32. I tried calling it, but it wasn't a number that existed. When I typed the address into my GPS it began to glitch a lot and turned the map of Toronto a weird green color. But it began to spew out directions, so I had no other option than to follow them. I jumped into my car. I knew I wasn't supposed to drive because of my fake concussion but who was going to stop me? I kept following the directions and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until it told me to drive off the highway railing. I was driving on the highway and suddenly it told me to turn left when the only road turned right. If I turned left I would veer off the road and into the water. But the GPS kept screaming at me to turn, and just as I was about to make the normal turn right, my steering wheel jerked by itself, and my car was heading left.
My car broke the barrier against the road and was flung into the air. I screamed. But just as the car was about to hit the water, a gigantic boat came zooming by, and the car fell onto it. A perfectly placed air mattress absorbed the impact. I shakily climbed out of the car just in time to hear an announcement.
Welcome to Mr. Savvy's Mad Science Boat. We will arrive shortly at his lair. Please remain in your car and wait for the buzzer to indicate the time of arrival.
Okay...
I climbed back into my car and sat there, impatiently waiting for the "buzzer" whatever that is. Also, "Mr. Savvy?" What kind of name is that? This sure is really weird. I wonder if I wen-
BUZZ
Oh. So that's the buzzer.
We have arrived. Please exit the boat and Mr. Savvy will be waiting for you at the dock.
Okay. Where is the exit to this boat... Ah-ha! I opened my car door and stepped out onto the boat. I marched forward, pretending to be confident when inside I was a nervous wreck. When I reached the ramp to go down onto the dock, I saw a man dressed in all white, wearing black sunglasses. He didn't look at all what I thought a mad scientist would look like. There was something about him that was a bit off. But I took the boat here, so I must at least introduce myself. I continued walking until I reached him.
Hello. My name is Layla Watt and I have come to ask you about something.
I spoke confidently trying to hide the tremble in my voice.
"Hello, Ms. My name is Mr. Savvy. What have you come to me about?"
Suddenly that name didn't sound funny anymore.
Um... I require your assistance for a.. um, Bermuda Triangle related matter.
At these words, his eyes flashed with terror, but he quickly regained himself and he spoke calmly.
"Perhaps this matter is better discussed inside."
He looked around quickly and led me into his lair.
