The Adrenaline Craze

Chapter 1

Monday, ugh

Pov: James

I don't know where to start, I mean I'm soooo done with this school, these people, all they want is to have is some adrenaline rush, like sex, drugs, or partying, I mean I even do that, except for the drugs part, I always do a scotch on the rocks, just like my father! My twin sister Jenna also digs the adrenaline rush that everyone desires, I and she have each other, we're one of the most popular twins in our school, other than the Danegeld twin soccer brothers, who are exchange students from... I think Sweden? I don't know, anyways as for me, James Ken Palerine and my twin sister Jenna Ally Palerine.

You're probably wondering why or how we're so popular, well that's all thanks to my parents, Jane Diane Palerine and Hank Linc Palerine. They both work as partners of Palerine Vineyard co., they're in the alcohol business which makes them SUPER rich. They let me and my sister out of homeschooling and start going to public school when I was just like 14? We went to Windell Hall Public Schools, and at first, it was nerve-wracking, but then we met Ben, Ryder, Jake, Kayla, and Rachael, and so far we've been somewhat of a well-known group around the school.

Ben's appearance is dark-skinned, with dark short hair and is like a gym trainer for me, so obviously he's buff as hell. Ryder is tan-skinned, has a medium-cut curly blonde hair, with blue eyes, and is what we called a skinny legend. Jake's appearance is light bright hair, blue eyes, with a good masculine physique. Kayla has a milky chocolate skin color, with curly brown hair with dark brown eyes, she has a healthy figure, even though she eats a lot of food. Rachael's appearance is short bleach blonde hair with a kinda greenish blueish eyes, and light skin. My sister and I, after our puberty, have had some good changes in our physical appearances along with our clothes, me with my six-pack and great masculine looks, light tan skin, clean-shaven with a dark mix of light brown hair and jawline that most women say could cut you in half. Then there's my sister, her long dark brown hair, tan skin, and a perfect physique with curves that some say drive any man mad. And that's when we started playing people at our school and scored with them, now it's 2 months into our Junior Year and everything is going to plan.

"Hey, James!" Jenna said with a tap on my shoulder that made me come out of my day-dreaming. "Wha-? What are we talking about? Sorry I was just thinking about how much I don't wanna do Mrs. Lowley's Chemistry test this Friday." I said "Ohhhh same here dude, I don't wanna do it either, all I wanna do is Miss. Janet all day, ya know what I mean?" chuckled Jake with a naughty smirk. "I'm sure you would," said Rachael "I'm thinking about going to Daniel's party this Thursday." I said "mmmmm I don't know, I'm thinking about going out to Camden's party." said Jenna " I heard he has a big ass jacuzzi and TONS of alcohol, it sounds like heaven." said Jake with his stupid smirk on his face. Talking to Jake is like talking to a door, he's just somewhat stupid, but he's fun to hang around, sooo." Alright, I think this ends our stupid group lunch session for today, we're ALL going to Camden's party Thursday, all we gotta do is let Ben, Ryder, and Kayla know, got it?"

We all nod "alright, the meeting adjourned" said Jenna. Me and Jenna were headed to Mr. Gain's Calc class, we passed what everyone at this school calls The Trouble's, this group is composed of people with terrible home lives, in which they fill their lives with weed, drugs, vapes, and alcohol. They are also known to do really risky things in their group. I remember they were mad at some guy and drove their large pick up over him. Yeah, I know intense... We were walking past and I saw the leader, Tanner Deadwood. He was staring right back at Jenna and me with cold dark eyes.

His physical appearance was tall, had a cold, but strong complexion, with stubble on his face with a shaved head, he was tan skinned naturally, with a neck tattoo. And then I see two familiar girls, one his girlfriend and some girl I see her hanging around, his girlfriend's name is Riley Mayne. She is 5'5, has long black hair, bright blue eyes, is really skinny. Jenna always tells me she doesn't know how she can stay so skinny, I always respond with well don't go asking, she might trick you into becoming apart of that stupid gang. Anyway, she was really pale with a hint of blush in her cheeks, she seems like the type to be naturally pretty, also more responsibly than the group she hangs with, but for some reason, she wears heavy makeup. I also notice she wears a lot of dark ripped jeans and some t-shirt with black combat boots.

The girl next to her I think is.... Tess Lay. She is a little taller than Riley, also skinny but flat-chested, peachy skin, a short pixie cut with purple and blue in it, and her style is really punk rock. Just imagine it in your head, yep that's her. We kept walking "They really freak me out sometimes" whispered Jenna. "Yeah same here, but let's just keep away from them, and if they wanna fight, me and the boys will fight them, I'm no pussy," I whispered back. "Hehe, yeah the only closely people I like out of there group is probably Riley and Tess, they're actually really smart, and kinda nice, they're mostly quiet, Riley more than Tess, they let me sometimes copy off of notes in Mrs. Kane's English class, but that's only when they're here, it's mostly Riley there," said Jenna. "Hmmm, maybe she's not as bad as we think," I said. "Yeah," said Jenna. We saw Jenna's toxic ex, Dean Gape. He is very masculinely built, probably because of steroids combined with football. He is tall, dark-skinned, and just looked like the typical Jock douche. And that's the reason why I'm in Hockey.

I remember when Jenna broke up with him and he was about to throw her into a wall. Ben and I took him down before he could ever touch her. Jenna just kept her head down when we passed him, now we see my ex, Tina Shine, and let me tell you something... she's... a...... BITCH! And she's super toxic, I remember when she kept trying to convince everyone I was cheating on her with Rachael from my friend group, which obviously was a lie, but it turns out she cheated on me with one of the Danegeld twins and claims it was her "paranoia" of me, honestly not, cheating. Anyway, she hangs mostly around the cheerleaders which are all of Jenna's rivals, her appearance is naturally tan skin with dark black hair and hazel eyes, she's very annoying. We passed her and she was giving me the snake eye, I scoffed at the gesture.

----- 2 periods later----- "What zuuuuuup my guy," Ben says as he's coming into journalism class. "Ey, where ya been?" I asked as he sat down. "Ahh, I accidentally forgot to set my alarm, hey! I heard you're gonna see that scientist chick tonight. Uhhh Samantha?" he said with a naughty smirk. "Yeah, but this time I'm not letting anyone know about this," I whispered to him. "Well good luck my boy," he said, again with a naughty smirk. I smacked him across the face. We both laughed. That's when I saw Riley walk in quickly with sunglasses on her face, and sat in the back of the class, making no sound, I caught a glimpse of her readjusting her sunglasses and saw... She had a black eye.... I mean I'm not going to say anything, because it's none of my business, but I just wonder what happened to her...

Pov - Riley

I was about late to class, I should have never snuck out with my boyfriend and Dane, one of his best friends, I just thought it was gonna be a "rebel thing to do"... turns out it was just another getting high session, I didn't want too, because secretly I've been trying to get sober, and plus I'm not too into drugs or weed, sometimes alcohol, but I just kinda have fun even without that stuff. Anyways he wasn't happy when he gave me a smoke and I didn't take it... he didn't take it well at all.... And that's how I got Mr. Black eye AGAIN... "Shit.... Shit," I said under my breath.

I finally made it into the class and made sure before I got there to put on my sunglasses. I walked in very silently and made it quickly to the back of the class... I just don't wanna be seen right now, after this class I can go to the library and study, I never get finished with homework at the apartment. I haven't said this yet but I'm living with my boyfriend because I have nowhere else to go.... Tanner mostly has these parties with his friends, always after school, it's always so loud. So I go to the library with Tess always after school. That's when I thought I saw from the corner of my eye that the player guy in our school, I think his name is James?.. Yeah, looking at me... I'm sure it was nothing, but I'm kinda scared he saw something he shouldn't have...
