Kookie
Today was the day that Tae would finally return to school. To say the least, I was worried. I know I wouldn't be able to be beside him all day and that scared me. I wouldn't be there to protect him if something went wrong. I had gotten up earlier than I usually did to go over to Tae's house.
I finally reached his house and knocked on the door. After a few seconds later, Mrs.Kim opened the door with a huge smile. "Kookie, please come on in. Tae will be down in just a little bit." I stepped inside the cold house and waited for Taehyung to finish getting ready. After a few minutes later and some warning from Tae's mother, we were finally on our way to school.
"Taehyung, if anything happens at school, please call me. I will go to you, okay?" "Yeah sure," I clenched my jaw not being satisfied with that answer. I stopped walking and got a hold of his arm. "Tae, I'm being serious. If anything or anyone bothers you, call me. I will deal with it." Taehyung looked into my eyes and I gave him a stern look. "Yes Kookie, I promise I will." I gave a small smile satisfied with his answer.
When we both entered the school, whispers soon filled the hallways. I could tell Tae was feeling uncomfortable from the way he was playing his hands and looking down at the ground. Without thinking twice, I pulled him closer to my side and glared at anyone who would stare at us. I was usually laid back and didn't care about anyone's opinion, but when it came to Taehyung, it bothered me to another extent.
We finally reached our lockers and took anything that we would need for the following classes. Once we had everything, we both walked to our first class. I was about to take my seat when I noticed another girl had taken Taehyung's seat. I knew he wasn't going to say anything, but I knew him better than he knew himself. He didn't want to seat anywhere else from the look of his face.
I went up to the girl and she had caught sight of me she sat up quickly and fixed herself up. I internally scoffed at her, if only she knew. "Excuse, you could you get up? You're in Taehyung's seat." Her eyes were wide as if she couldn't believe that I had told her that. Her cheeks were soon colored with a deep shade of red as she grabbed her belongings and moved to the other side of the room.
I grabbed Tae's wrist and pulled him to our seats. "Why did you do that? I could've sat somewhere else." I turned to him and ruffled his hair. "Tae, I know you dislike sitting in another place that isn't 'your' seat." He looked at his hands and mumbled out something. We both turned to the front when we heard the teacher walk in.
Classes had passed by and it was finally lunch time. I had arrived at our table first and had no sight of Tae. Worry started to fill me up as different scenarios crossed my mind. My thoughts were soon interrupted when Lisa came up to the table. "Hey, Kook! You're not going to sit with us today?" I smiled up at her. Her friends and she had been the only ones to keep me company when Tae had been gone and I was honestly grateful for that. "Not today, Tae is finally back and I wanted to sit with him." Lisa wiggled her eyebrows at me while giving me a smirk. "Ooo, guess you want to spend time with your Loverboy," she teased as she poked my cheeks.
"Lisaaa, stop it! He isn't my Loverboy or whatever you say." I whined out as I felt my cheeks turn red from embarrassment. She chuckled at me and whispered in my ear, "not for long." I pushed her away and she let out an obnoxious laugh. "Okay, okay. I'll let you be, but go and check on him. It's been a while and he still hasn't came in. Just make sure he's okay and maybe another day I could meet him." She gave me a smile and returned back to her table. I got up and left the cafeteria in search of Tae. Where are you Taehyung?
