Nobility is not given by birth. Nor how one is raised. Rather, it is earned.

Long ago, the discovery of Gaito's aura came to him as a younger Kirlia during rest. It was in a dream where he saw a figure similar to his, cast in a long blue shadow, stark white in body. It got longer and longer and turned to face away from him. This brought an unusual emotion to young Gaito, causing him to take on his fiery orange properties in his fists. He awoke to a burning sensation around him on a typical starry night. He was faintly aglow with energy, but from where he could not understand. In but a moment it vanished into thin air.

He realized, not putting much thought into this dilemma that he must have simply been seeing things. He figured it was a part of his dream, there was no way that he was chosen for THAT purpose. He saw himself as an outcast, being pushed to use mind user over ambitious, desired and sought after sword powers.

Time went on and Gaito followed his path to become the duty-sworn fighter he aimed to be. After that fateful bout with Faosha, the burning sensation became much, much worse. He began to feel more irritable by the day, pushed others away, hid his feelings, until one star crossed day after a dozen mishaps set his life back on course. Until he learned that purpose to his life, he felt it was an Arceus given right to walk as the warrior on his own.

He begun his journey to fame and power in competition at a circuit fighter ring, showcasing his combat talents, felling foe after foe, gathering an audience far and wide to witness his incredible prowess. In truth, the combination of his mental manipulation, getting into his foes heads, and his physical power to bring them to their knees, stole him many titles he felt he had the rights to through his willpower alone.

Once he found his way into an opponent's head, the fighter could take full advantage through reading their minds, finding unwritten rules to their combat, successfully exploiting and punishing them at every endeavor verses the sword pokemon. He had tricked his way naively into the title he valued so highly.

A champion in name, nature and an icon of fierce willpower and strength to many, Gaito came to be known as a warrior throughout many lands of Alabastro and beyond. Residents of local towns spoke of him among others at the bar scenes far and wide.

Gaito believed he was doing good by being the most boisterous, vocal, and mystical fighter image the people he surrounded himself with wanted from him. The truth however was that Gaito had lost his way towards nobility on that path he valued so greatly.

His fame, re realized, came at a price.

He missed life, he missed love, he missed the natural order on his conquest as he tried to shape it to his own way. He realized the true destructive nature of his actions, how he believed he was a god himself to create these things, but was actually destroying the futures of fighters to be. He was seeking to keep 'on the right path' when that path was tainted with his manipulation and deceit. Weeks went by with this fact building in his head like a volcano. Until he could take no more.

One day, as suddenly as a volcano deciding to erupt, the fighter's anger flared violently. He burst out wailing.

Having a walk in the midst of the woods, there was nowhere nearby for him to seek comfort. He knew the friends he had made, every single last one of them, were all tools on his path to conquest, he had dissuaded them and should face his just punishment on his own.

His head went dark. He fell to his knees, he now understood that he was now as helpless as he was harmful. There was no greater truth to grasp for as he emotionally fell from grace, nothing that he put at the forefront of his mind would save him. All he knew was himself, his ego and his grand delusion. For all the days he spent soiling the dreams of others to carry on, he could not let himself continue this path, he reveled in not victory, but tears. In sorrow. He wailed.

Gaito yearned for death to come. Unfortunately for him, the idea was about to become a self fulfilling prophecy.
