"Ek kaam karo, monthly pass banwa lo" Abir suggested.
Mishti at first confused, replied "Kis cheez ke liye?" Abir about to answer his typical response...
"Than----
"Actually, rehne do, don't even bother answering that." Mishti interjects. "Mujhe pata hai tum kya bolne wale ho." Mishti chides herself for falling for her husband's stupid jokes every time. You and your ajeeb jokes she mumbled.
Abir proud of his wife for knowing him so well, smiles covertly to himself watching her cutely chide herself. And he continues to play along, "Arre aise kaise? How do you know what I was going to say? What if mein kuch aur hi bolne wala tha..aur ab tum mere words bhi chori karne lagi, angry chorni."
M: "ha! oh please Abir, aise natak mat karo. Mishti mocked. "You know that I am right and ruined your bakwaas joke, fizool mein baatein mat ghumao mr. ajeeb rajvansh."
A: "Huh? Kaisi biwi ho tum yaar", he continued mockingly. "First you were upset at me for not gifting you anything on our anniversary. Then you didn't believe me when I said it's all a secret. And finally, when I revealed the surprise, you were still mad that I hid it all, and didn't tell you the secret earlier.
M: "whatever" mishti mumbled, rolling her eyes. I'm already feeling so guilty for scolding Abir unnecessarily, and now this ajeeb nautanki isn't letting the matter go Mishti thought. She crossed her arms and turned away, in frustration.
Walking around her little figure, Abir continuing to blabber on, silently relishing Mishti's adorable angry pouted face. "So when I found you were just sitting here alone, mujhe pata tha that you wanted to, but didn't know how to say that you were sorry and thankyou. So, I just wanted to make it easier! Isliye if you make a monthly pass, then you wouldn't have to be stuck in this awkward guilt aur gratitude muddle." Abir noticing how he is riling up Mishti's, continued to teasingly rub a few more sprinkles of salt. "So technically you should be thanking me twice, for not only the surprise gift, but also solving your dilemma. But tum tho abhi bhi mera saath jagda kar rahi ho, angry chorni!...
Mishti on the other hand is reaching her breaking point haila! kitna bolta hai yeh aadmi, she asserted. She turned around sharply to try and pierce her sherni eyes at him, but the ajeeb aadmi was too busy looking elsewhere as he continued rattling on. Okay, that's it! she thought.
She stretched up on her tip-toes and pushed her palm against his moving lips. "ABIIIR!" Chup kar yaar! Aur kitna bologe?" Although her petite palm and tiny fingers barely covered his mouth, Abir was taken aback and startled by her sudden bold move. He instantly got lost in those eyes and momentarily forgot about his game plan.
Pinning him to the nearest wall, Mishti said
"Ek tho main already..." she looked to her left
"pareshan hu"... then she looked to her right
"ki main bina baat pe tum pe gussa kar diya, aur.." she frantically searched the bedroom floor for something.
Abir slowly emerging from his trance, silently watched his cute annoyed wife look around for that one item, that reminds them of their acha khasa height difference. Anytime Mishti needed to talk face-to-face or more importantly, eye-to-eye; she would desperately search for that stool, that chair. Basically, ANYTHING that would reduce the strain on their necks from constantly looking up or down at each other.
Glancing up at Abir, she could feel his lips curling up into his mischievous smile, beneath her fingers. He raised his eyebrows teasingly, asking what? Ab kya karogi?. Narrowing her eyes in annoyance, she realised this was all Abir's silly plan, he had purposely provoked her. Fed up and upset, Mishti removed her grip from his face and stepped to turn away. But before she could move away, she felt two strong hands on her elbows, pull her back firmly.
