Into the woods

I stared at the moon as I woke up after a short nap, it seemed to draw me in like a magnet.
I couldn't help but walk to it .as I walked the more I felt like I was gliding as if it was an out of body experience. I heard footsteps behind me and so I screamed "whoever you are I have mace and a ratchet I'm not afraid to use them" still I heard nothing so I continued walking. I reached a path that led me to a cut off tree that had four symbols,one was a dog, one was a cat, one was a wizard and one was a fortune teller. A voice whispered in my ear to choose on so I went with the one I liked the most. A dog, so I picked it up and immediately felt the transformation so I put it down I chose the cat next and same thing.. finally I went with my gut and tried to choose one.... but as I turned away the other symbols started to glow and raised up and came to me all merging as a tattoo on my shoulder at that everyone jumped out of the bushes with shocked faces
Ray:the symbols have never done that before
Me: ummmmmm what am I missing here I know I'm dreaming but can you fill me in before I wake up
Ray: it's not a joke nor a dream when we said everyone comes to the school is chosen cause they have a gift we weren't lying
Me: so um Jp is really a werewolf and you are really a flexy person?
Ray: A flexi what?... oh no you got knocked out after we told you about the gifts lol ummmmmmmmmm ok here's how it goes those four symbols now tattooed on you have a specific power and whichever you are meant to have usually tattoos on you but no ones ever gotten more than two much less all four and the person who has two is seen as the most threatening and he is now our principal
Me: wait so what do they even mean
Jp: I'll explain that one
Ray rolls his eyes
Jp: the dog means canine which means you would be able to transform into any canine with your main form beings werewolf
Bre: the cat means grime which means any feline or opposite werewolf which we all know is a vampire
Ray: The wizard mean precisely that witch or wizard being able to only use your powers with the correct energy and spells
Me: and the fortune teller sees the future?
Aly: not exactly we see all and know all we have the knowledge of the world by just scanning, pretty much perfect photographic memory but the catch is that we can see the future only when we touch you and we see everything up to your death but we can never say it directly to you no matter what or you turn to stone
Me: wow sounds more like a burden.... wait so if all this is real why has none of these powers affected me since my conception, why don't my parents have it and what happened to the other new students and why didn't they come here too

K: I think I can answer that one.... it was strange for me my first time too but I went to the principal and he explained it all to me.... for number 1 you need the woods here and the tree to activate your powers under a full moon so you wouldn't have ever activated it in your life if you never came the gene would have been passed on , to answer number 2, all the students here have an ancestor who has the trait that we inherited as they were the super gene that they were injected with to protect the humans of the earth against dark forces who are out for revenge, each ancestor was injected with one of the traits each in a male and a female so the could rapidly reproduce..... however after a while interbreeding occurred and the families have been watched by the government closely to see if they exhibit any of the early traits and brought into the school immediately under the premise of becoming a better citizen
Me: no wonder the principal is so loose
K: the answer to the last question now is all of you are in the woods tonight each direction has a different trait but for the harder cases where interbreeding of both regular humans and different traits in the same family are brought here so that the most dominant trait or traits are sure to be known as this is the original tree of decision
Me:so wait why at this age why now and why weee y'all acting so normal for so long as if you didn't have all this mystical shit dealing with all this time ,  now I know why I can't ever find y'all on a full moon night
K:yeah sorry about that we have to regenerate
Me: wth all this is confusing me
Bre:ok so at this age you are maturing into your trait cells but you can't use the power unless it is activated and if activated before full generation they can help you control shifting and your powers before you get full power and out of control and we couldn't do it any earlier or else you would have freaked and left plus the fifth moon is the most powerful here for a first timer cause you've soaked up four moons before  and we would have your friendship and trust for you to believe is and lastly after this we will start full classes where you only learn how to control your trait and a lil math English and Foriegn language history and science all relating to the trait
Me:😱😫😭  suppose I don't want to do all that
Jp:I'm afraid those tattoos said you don't have a choice
With that I got really mad and tried to cry but I just remember breeze and passing out
