I leaned against the wall watching everyone dance. Everyone seems to be having a good time except me. I looked down into my drink, Maka didn't even come. It feels so weird not having her next to me.
"Hey Soul, why so gloomy?"

I look up at Stein and frown.
"I don't know, just a little bummed out that Maka didn't come."

Stein moves besides me and leans against the wall as well.
"I'm sure she'll come."

I stare towards the entrance.  I hope so, these kind of parties are just not my style. I'm sure if Maka was here, she'd make me feel better. The song changes to a slow song and the lights dimmed. Everyone has a partner to dance with, except me. I slide down to the floor, and look up at the ceiling. I feel so alone.. I look back at the entrance, why do I miss her so much? As I'm staring at the door at the entrance opens, I can barely see who it is, it's so dark in here. I see movement, all I could shapeout was pigtails... Maka! My heart races, I quickly get off the floor and dust myself off. She actually came, I smiled to myself. I started moving through the mob of dancers, nearing the entrance.
"Maka!"

Then I saw her.. Oh Wow, she's so beautiful.. I stop, too shocked to move.. She turns around and looks at me with a stunning smile. It feels like everything's in slow motion.. I snap out of it and start walking towards her again. Gotta play it cool.. I put my hands in my pant pockets, and give her a half smile.
"Hey, Maka. Didn't think you'd come."

She grabs my hands.
"I heard you missed me so I came, plus. I didn't want to let you do this alone, I know how much you hate these kind of parties."

I stare at her confused and a little angry that someone went off and told her that I missed her. Im gonna kill whoever it was. "I'm glad you came, shall we dance?"

I say giving her a small bow, she giggles at me bowing.
"Yes, of course."

She wraps her arm around mine, and we walk out onto the dance floor.

I place my hands on her waist as she wraps her arms around my neck.

"I'm glad you came."

She smiles.
"I'm sorry I had you worried."

I smile, bringing her closer to me.

"Parties aren't so bad when you're with me."

She lays her head on my shoulder.

"I'm always going to be with you."

I smile to myself and lay my head on hers. We sway to the music as one, I close my eyes and get lost in the music, get lost in the moment with Maka.

"Soul?"

Maka says close to my ear.

"Yes?"

She moves closer, and whispers.

"I love you."

My heart stops at those three words.
"I love you too, Maka."

I pause.

"So much."

I hug her tighter.
