Karina looked at herself in the mirror and saw the girl who will betray the demon. She's scared at the thought of what she's about to do. It was natural to choose her mother over someone she knew for three days but... he already meant something to her now.

"Ready, my dear?" Alice asked walking towards her so called daughter.

Karina cleared her thoughts and displayed a serious face. "I'm ready."

Alice had never been this happy before. She devilishly grinned as she pats Karina's head, looking at their reflection.

Karina was already on her way to the summit and she knows she's being followed as planned.

"You will play with him, make him fall for your charms, my dear. Smile, laugh with him and when the moon shines the brightest, we'll surprise him. Remember, fail and you'll see me and precious Lylia walking away from you, my lovely daughter."

What her mother said was stuck in her mind now. That's all she could ever think of until...

"Hey!"

Her eyes widened behind her mask when Dyrroth was leaning against a tree, looking so handsome. The demon even smiled at her.

"H-hi," she stammers.

"You okay? Are you sick or something?" He didn't just ask, he even walk towards her and touched her neck.

Karina shoved it off. "I'm okay," she told him.

Dyrroth didn't mind it at all. He wasn't even suspecting anything. "I'm glad you're alright."

Karina thought this was their last time being themselves so she moved closer to Dyrroth and whispered, "Take me someplace where I can see the light and feel no sadness at all".

After whispering that she took a step back and stared at Dyrroth's eyes. Begging him to do as she says.

The demon smirked and with no wasted time dragged Karina to jump off from the summit.

Alice who watched as both the demon and human fled away thought that her so called daughter had betrayed her once again. "No! You ungrateful creature!" She yells in anger.

There's nothing else she could do but be furious. She can fly, but then she would have to deal with the demon.

"Your highness, your daughter—"

"Shut up! We will wait for them to set foot on the ground!"

Betray me, Lunox and I shall make Lylia turn her back on you!

Karina screamed in fright. She didn't expect that he would do such thing. "Do you want us to die?" She shouted at him.

Dyrroth chuckled and spread his strong wings. "Do you really know me?"

Karina knew he had wings but falling like that she couldn't think about it. She wrapped her arms around Dyrroth's neck and his arms were around her waist.

On one of the cotton cloud up in the night sky they stood up. Karina was scared to let go, she has never been this high before.

"Scared?" Dyrroth asked, chuckling about how a scaredy cat this mysterious lady was.

Karina nodded as she slowly put down her arms. She took the demon's hand as she tries to look down. Sweat had fill her palms. She slowly sat down and let go.

Dyrroth sat beside Karina.

"I'm sorry, I scared you. This is the only place I can take you tonight. The stars and the moon are the only light I can show you. But they're beautiful, yeah?"

Karina gazed up at the night sky. "The stars are a little bit closer to me now."

"Someone had told me that already. She's so special to me but one day, I lost her. I don't think she'll ever return to me." Dyrroth doesn't know why he's talking to her about Lunox again. It just feels right to talk to this girl about his love.

"I– I have a mother who I haven't known for long. I can't betray her and so I'm risking my feelings for it." It was only right for her to open up to him, she thought.

"Oh the mother who taught you about war. To be honest, I don't like your mother that much. She seemed like someone I used to be allied with," he said.

Little did they know, they were talking about the same woman. Their talks went on for hours until Karina notices the light of the moon changing.

This must be it, she thought.

"She told me to come back before—"

"Dyrroth!" Karina yells and smile. "It's getting late now. We should go down and I'll let you see my face."

The demon, being unaware of what's waiting for him down there nodded. He carried her in a bridal position. "Hold on tight," he said and they descended.

Alice smirked upon seeing the two love birds come down. She guess her daughter was too stupid to fall for her words. Everyone positioned to their area and getting ready for the signal.

Dyrroth put Karina down and they both smile at each other. Only Karina's smile was of sadness.

"Alright, now close your eyes. No
peeking and no opening them until I say so," Karina told him, faking her giggles.

Dyrroth raised a brow but then Karina couldn't help it and hugged him. He was in great surprise.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

"For what?"

Karina never answered and instead broke the hug. "Okay close them now."

Dyrroth playfully glared at Karina for a moment and then closed his eyes.

Karina stepped back and made sure it was the right distance.

I'm sorry, your highness...

She threw a magic ball up the air and the dark glitters sprinkled down to the demon.

"Now!" Karina shouts and Alice's team showed up with the magical chain.

Too late for Dyrroth, he opened his eyes and he was already chained up. He tried to break it with his force but couldn't do anything. He was grunting and then fiercely look at where Karina was.

"My, my, what do we have here?" Alice fake a gasp "the second prince of the Abyss! Dyrroth! It's so nice to see you again." Alice who came out of trees laughed at the chained demon.

"You monster!" Dyrroth hissed. He tried to reach for Alice but the chains was weakening him.

"I'm so proud of you, my dear daughter," Alice told Karina.

"Daughter?" Dyrroth looked at Karina and clenched his fist. "You traitor!"

Karina didn't want to look weak so she put her game face on and smirked which the demon can see. Her mask only covers half of her face. "I pity you for falling into my trap."

That made Dyrroth feels like he has been buried alive. But he refuses to feel that way. He stared at Karina and smirked, "No I pity you for falling into the wrong light."

Karina froze at what Dyrroth said. Alice had noticed that so she threw some dark balls at the demon, making him unconscious.

The troupes dragged Dyrroth to their castle while Karina was creeped with guilt.

"You did well, my dear," Alice told Karina and left her in that place.

Karina fell on her knees. How? How could she betray someone who did her nothing wrong? She took off her mask, she couldn't help but cry in the darkness.

Why did I have to choose? This is wrong...
