Chapter 1 - New Town New School

"Kendall K Vertes! You better be up in 5 minutes!" My mother, Jill Vertes screamed.

Hello. My name is Kendall K Vertes. Today is my first day at my new school. I just moved into this new town to film a hit reality series called 'Dance Moms'. It might be exciting for some people, but it isn't for me. I loved my old school! I didn't want to move into this strange new town just to film 'Dance Moms'!

Anyways, I quickly got up and brushed my teeth. I washed my face and got dressed. I wore a crop top and a mini skirt. I applied foundation on my face and applied a little make up. I tied my hair into a high ponytail and rushed downstairs for Breakfast.

"Morning Kendall" my mother said.
"Morning Mom" I replied.
I quickly ate my pancakes and hopped into my mother's car. "How are you feeling?" My mother asked. "Nervous. Scared. Unhappy." I replied. "Kendall, what's the big deal?" She asked. "Its just a new school, I'm sure you will make loads of friends!"
"Mom, how do you think moving into a whole new school isn't a big deal?!"
My mom was about to argue, but we reached the school. I quickly rushed off to the main office.

"How may I help you? The lady working at the front desk asked.
"Hi, I am a new student. My name is Kendall K Vertes, may I know my locker name please?" I asked
"Sure! Let me check for ya. There it is. Locker 52." she said.
"Thanks" I told her.

I walked around the school trying to find locker 55. Suddenly I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry!" I apologized.
"It's okay." I looked up and saw a familiar face.
"Hey, aren't you Zack Torres?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm guessing your Kendall Vertes." He replied.
"Yeah."
"I should get going." he said.
"Yeah, bye."

I don't know why, there was something about him that made me felt different. It made me feel safe. I walked into English class. Everyone stared at me. Just what I expected.
