Why Todoroki

Chapter 4

Todoroki's POV:
I offered to go get a drink so maybe he'll loosen up around me but judging the look in his eyes he terrified.

"Midoriya I won't hurt you I promise"
He gives me this look of uncertainty and just nods "o-okay" I start walking and he follows almost as if he's about to be trapped. I frown I wanna help him. NO I'm gonna help him!

We get to the cafe it's more subtle here, quite and peaceful.

I lead him to a booth and he looks at me like he needed permission. "If you would prefer a table instead we can do that to I was thinking this would be more comfortable"

He just sits down and shakes his head.

"What do you want?" He didn't look up his voice sounded rough and shattered like he was about to cry or maybe scream.

"I want to be friends and get to know you" I decide to be blunt I don't think beating around the bush will help him in any way.

He starts to tremble and I can see his cheeks are wet he's crying.

"Are you okay?"

No answer.

I start to panic and get his attention.

Midoryia's POV:

He wants to be my friend I can't stop thinking.

"Midoriya please calm down it's okay"

He's lying nobody wants you!

"I'm here for you I just wanna help you"

He's gonna torment you like they did! They wanted to be friends too remember!

"It's okay do you wanna leave?"

I look up and stare at him I couldn't speak I heard every word come out of his mouth but it wasn't his voice I was terrified so I got up and ran

I ran home finding Kacchan waiting by my door

"What happened" he asks while helping me up the stairs. I unlock the door and enter taking my shoes of Kacchan follows.

"Why"

"Why what Deku?"

"Why are you my friend? Why do you talk to me? Why do you come all this way just to comfort me?" I half asked half demanded and not so nicely either.

He gave me this look and laughed a bit "Deku it's because I know you and the real you at that I care a lot about you and the hard ships you have been through, I may not know everything that happened to you but I don't need to know, to know your one of the best people I remember when you used to be so caring of others but didn't care about what happened to you. I know that you're the only person who handled my temper and still came to be my friend. You're my best friend and will always be rather you like it or not so stop doubting yourself and me better yet our friendship cause I won't allow you to do that"

I look at him and cry that's all I could do he slowly walked up to me and gave me a hug rubbing circles on my back.

"I-I'm so-sorry I lo-love yo-you too" I stuttered out.

I calmed down after a bit we ate dinner and he helped me with some homework.

At the moment we are watching movies some kid movies like Home and The Bee movie.

I liked those kind of movies. I ended up falling asleep during the The Bee Movie.

Todoroki's POV:

....I sat there in shock after he took off....

I didn't know what to do so I just sat there payed for everything which was just my drink and his water.

I was walking home when I got a text.

Momo: how's it going with Midoriya?
Todoroki: it could have been better but it wasn't what I expected
Momo: what did you expect?
Todoroki: for him to say no? I don't know he was scared and I could tell I just want to help him
Momo: Todo I know you like him rather you realize that or not at this point take your time things will get better and I'm sure he'll warm up to you. Maybe you could talk to Uraraka or Iida about how they got him to warm up to them?
Todoroki: I don't like him like that.... I will thank you

With that he left it be. Momo was right it would take time and he needed to be patient with him.

He arrived home said hello to his dad and went stray to his room. It's true I don't see my dad very often but there's nothing he could do about that.
