All Might arrived to late to save Deku from the slug villain. Deku dies and returns as a ghost. No one can see him. For some reason he can't seem to go to far from Bakuguo. So this continues until the USJ attack when the nomu goes to attack Bakugo. Deku can't let him die. Somehow he manages to become visible and at least slightly solid to push Bakugo out of the way.
