"Ryan! come clean up your mess now!"- Mum said with a stressed expression on her face.
"Coming..." Ryan said with a unsatisfied and lazy expression on his face.He gave a wide yawn as he cleared the piles up dishes from last night's 'No Worries Wednesday'.
"I know it's a public holiday,but honestly this is the third time you're waking up by 12 noon c'mon."-Mom scolded softly.
"I know,I know..."-Ryan replied slightly guilt tripped.
Soon after Ryan decided to take a shower after feeling like a slob.
"BEEP-BEEP!"-Ryan's phone buzzed as he was dripping wet hurriedly out of the shower. "5 missed calls.... Great.Its from Lily"-He paused and took some time to think.-"Oh shit!-we were meant to work on a plant project in the Acacia Gardens!"-Ryan quickly dressed up and rushed frantically to the garden.There was a stench of dew in the air,although the flowers had bloomed quite nicely.-"Lily! Are you he.."-Ryan got cut off by a smack to head.
"Took you long enough."-Lily said with an annoyed but relieved expression on her face."You know how important this project is Ryan!"
"Sorry..my bad."-Ryan said apologetically as he got scolded by his childhood friend.They had grownup in the same area,and school,and they hit it off ever since Grade 2.
Lily tucked back her silver-white hair as she squatted and started inspecting certain flowers
"What exactly are we meant to do?"-Ryan asked as ignorant as ever.
"Do you ever pay attention? We're looking for the Shiroi-aka flower,it's a rare breed that blooms around this time, we're meant to write down information on it and bring a sample."- Lily explained.
"Oh...yeah, then it would better to split up right?That way we could work twice as fast!"Ryan suggested
"Sure thing then,I'll stay here,so you go check somewhere else."-Lily agreed
Ryan walked about Inspecting every nook and cranny for it,but to no avail.
"*Sigh* This is pointless."-He said to himself.He was about to turn backward until he saw a shadow's figure behind a large tree.
"Hello is someone there?!"-Ryan asked in a tense manner as the are became more and more foggy,as he approached further,suddendly he sensed something behind him.
It was a girl that looked about his age.
"Ryan is it?I've been expecting you,actually for about 15 year now."She said with an unreadable smile on her face.
"Who are you,and how do you know my name?"-Ryan asked slightly terrified.
"You may call me Ava,but what is of importance, is your destiny... You..Ryan are the hope of this world,for It is coming and it only wishes to destroy everything around it,but first you must realise what you are."-She said with a blunt in her eyes.
"I don't understand what you're saying, how could I ever believe you,you're just a kid!"-Ryan said in disbelief.
"Hmph..You will understand soon enough Ryan,as time has chosen you itself."-She replied all-knowingly,
She handed him a a golden clock locket."Now open your hand."-Ava said. He opened his hand and she pulled out a tiny dagger with a blade as small as a needle.
"Wait what are you doi-!"-Ryan was cut short as she inscribed a diagram on his palm.He began too feel a burning sensation on it and suddenly dropped unconscious.
"You must wake up to your destiny Ryan...please for all of us"-Ava said as she disappeared into the mist.
