It's been so long,
since I've last sang that song.
The lyrics are forgotten
and the tune has rotten.
It seems so wrong...
that forgotten song.
Why had it felt so right before?
I guess I always settled for less than more.
What bothers me the most, is the need I have to learn it again,
the song that almost drove me insane.
If I do learn it again, I shall try to remain sane.
There's no doubt that it once made me happy,
even though, I remember that, it was rather sappy.
It was once the song of my heart that you once sang along with me,
now it's a forgotten tune and I don't know how to love.
