It had been nearly a year since Voldemort disappeared. Severus became a common guest of the Potters, though James wasn't always very fond of this. Sirius never visited when Severus was there. Though James and Severus might not want to strangle each other anymore, Sirius' feelings hadn't passed. These feelings didn't just consist of hatred, guilt and regret were also a big part. Severus still cherished deep hatred towards Sirius. However, since they never spoke or see each other, he didn't really think about it anymore.

A lot of Death Eaters had been caught, all of those were in Azkaban. Sadly, more got away with it by proclaiming they were under the Imperius Curse or some other things. Peter, was not in Azkaban. They never caught him, he supposedly transfigured into his animagus form and ran away. This was much to Sirius' irritation and despair. He likes to go on and on about how he would kill the dirty rat if he would find him. He claimed to have always known that there was something odd about him.

Harry was now three years old and famous in the Wizarding World. The Daily Prophet often comes to their house to ask for interviews. They never get one, though. Except for one time, when James was alone with Harry and Lily was out of town for that weekend. Rita Skeeter came up to the door and talked her way in. Playing in on James' soft spots, like his courage, how adorable Harry looked and, what sealed the deal, how she loved how James' hair was always perfectly messy. That was the only interview to ever be in any magical newspaper. Ofcourse there had been articles right after that night with basic information, like how Harry survived the Killing Curse and that Voldemort was dead, but never really detailed.
