The one Wish

Chapter 1

Today is a typical day for Lilly. She goes to her classes as usual, but suddenly when she walks into the lunchroom she hears something unusual. The teacher went on the microphone and said
"Everyone please put your first and last name on a piece of small sheet of paper, and put it in the jar, Thank you."
My thoughts where what are we doing and why are we doing this? I sat down at a table of girls that i didn't know and slowly started to eat my lunch. The lady came on again and shouted,
" the reason we are doing this is because we are playing secret Santa, the maximum you can spend is 50 dollars." We all went up to the jar and grabbed a name out of the jar with our eyes closed. I reach my sweaty hand in and grab out a name "great" I sigh. I got the most popular girl in school Julia Robertson. I am going to have to spend way more than 50 dollars if I want to make friends with her. As the day went on all I could think about is what I am going to get her. Before I knew it the day was over I ran off the smelly, yellow bus, grabbed the phone and immediately called my dad and Halle. Halle is my best friend but she goes to a different school. I begged my dad to go to the mall with Halle. He said yes and as soon as he got home Halle was already here we grabbed our coat and money and heded out the door. Halle asked me what store I wanted to go to. I said " Journeys" I need to get a secret Santa gift, we leaped out of the car and run into the mall as we smell Bath and Body works. When we arrive at journeys my eyes glare rigt at these beautiful pair of baily bow UGGS. I rush over to them and look at the price tag 286.00 I just about pass out. I have 300.00 but that means spending it all, I choose to get them because Julia and her friends are worth these shoes. I get a call from my dad as we are leaving journeys. "My dad is in the parking lot we have to go" I say to Halle. We run out of the mall carrying our heavy bags. The bags weigh as much as an elephant, we hop in the truck and when we get to my house we see Halle's dad in the driveway. I say goodbye to Halle and run in the house to wrap the shoes. Before I knew it it was midnight so I hop into bed and get some sleep. "Beep, beep, beep" my alarm clock goes. As I get ready for school I look at the UGGS and decide to do a stupid idea but I do it anyway. I rip off the wrapping paper and slide the boots onto my feet. They fit perfect, at first I was just going yo try them on but I forgot about them as I run to the bus stop. As I walk onto the bus a big pile of wet, gross slush pops onto my shoe. I look down as I get really hot and say to myself, I forgot the shoes now I am really in big trouble. I slowly walk on the bus, all day I kept thinking about the shoes. As I get off the bus I run to my house and try to find a gift and fast. All I have is this multi color gel pen. It will have to do, I wrap it up and slide it in my backpack deciding to get a good night sleep. My alarm goes off and I remember what day it is gift exchange day. I am so worried I am about to scream. I slowly get onto the bus and sit in my seat, as the day went on I worried more and more. When I walk in the lunch room Lilly approaches me and slowly grabs the present and before I could explain she yells "this is amazing you must have spent a fortune." " come and sit with us" as Julia grabs my arm. I sit next to Julia and she asks if I want to go to the big sleepover. I said " of course" and now life couldn't be better.
