As they slept, the cold air crept through the house. Elle and April keep waking up and they can't figure out why.
" This is weird..." April whispers.
" Yeah. It's kinda pissing me off." Elle grabs the covers and pulls them over her head.
" Ugggghhhhh i'm so tired.." Donte walks through the door.
" You're up too?
" yup...its weird...Hunter and jay are perfectly fine.."
"And it's weird..because we were the closest people to dad when he died.." Elle says laughing.
" What if it wasn't a coincidence?" April says, her eyes wide.
" nahh" Just then Donte passes out on the floor.
" Oof."
" that was spe-" Elle passes out as well leaving April alone.
" Why me...." April whines jokingly. April soon passes out thinking that the only reason they could sleep was because they were all together, just like when they were little. But she was very wrong.
" Guys!?! What's happening!?!" April says, surprised. " Guys?"
" Hello, spring."
" D-dad?!" April exclaims, crying tears of joy.
" Yes. Who else calls you spring?"
" Nobody." April hears Elle say from behind her.
" woahhhhh!" Donte says putting his hand through the figure standing in front of them.
" How did y-"
" I'm a ghost."
" Did you hear our letters?"
" Yes. They were all very beautiful."
" Woah!!!" Hunter and Jay say as they walk into the room.
" Is this a dream?!?"
" NO!" The three siblings say.
" Qu'est-ce que c'est que ... alors c'est ton père et c'est un fantôme ..? et je suis censé être ok, avec eeing un fantôme?" Hunter says speaking in French.
""Hunter ... ça va, je te promets juste de nous faire confiance ... si tu dois être heureux ... c'est une des raisons pour lesquelles tu es encore en vie ... à cause de la transplantation d'organe" Elle replies.
" What the hell are you saying!?"
" I said, What is it ... so it's your father and he's a ghost ..? and I'm supposed to be ok, with seeing a ghost? In french..."
" And I said Hunter ... It's fine, I promise just trust us ... if you have to be happy ... that's one of the reasons you're still alive ... because of organ transplant."
" Oh." April says, feeling dumb.
" Anyway~ Why are you at the lake house?"
" Mom left to visit a friend in Florida...." Donte says, crossing his arms.
" Oh."
" Not to visit a friend, more like to abandon us.." Hunter says
" When did this happen?"
" Day of your memorial service....." Elle mutters.
Their dad just stands there, disappointed that he can't see his wife, and that she abandoned their kids in the middle of the city.
