That day at the park, I dunno I just... thought that I should tell him and he... obviously isn't interested. So, I watched him walk home. We didn't talk much about it at school, but when we were walking home he said something I will never forget.
"Aren." he stopped. "Yeah, what is it, Shun?" I looked over at him. "Can I see your phone?" he looked me dead in the eye. "Sure," I unlocked it for him. He immediately went to contacts and changed the name to "🖤 baby boy 🖤", and instead of giving me my phone back, he handed me his. "Change it." There was a contact with no name.
"Um, okay." I said. I changed it to "💜 my lovely man💜". We gave each other's phones back and continued to walk home. And then another unforgettable thing came out of Shun's mouth. "Kiss me." he stared at the ground. "What?!" I blushed.
He looked at me. "Kiss me, Aren." he said. He looked so tiny, so vulnerable, so defenseless. I held his chin in my hand. Our lips touched barely and he leaned back. "I love you, Aren Kuboyasu.". Was this a dream?! Did he actually say that?! "Be my lovely man." he said.
"Only if you be my baby boy." I replied. I looked at my watch. "You gotta go home." I said. "I love you." he said it again. "I love you too, Shun." I waved. My baby boy. I could get used to that. I thought. But another question struck me:
are we dating?
