〚 third person 〛
Ever since that afternoon where Maekawa found out that Bokuto was going with Elaine to the mall, Maekawa had been kind of avoiding both Elaine and Bokuto.
Elaine didn't fail to miss any chances she got to rub it in Maekawa's face that she convinced Bokuto to hang out with her. It was annoying.
Bokuto got ready like normal, heading out of his house with his phone and wallet in his pockets. He wore a simple gray shirt with some black jeans and shoes. Nothing very special.
Arriving at the mall, Bokuto leaned against the wall where he was set to meet up with Elaine. She arrived two minutes earlier than they had set, surprised to see Bokuto already standing there.
A slight smirk spread across her lips, feeling like she already had this boy wrapped around her finger. Poor, Mae-chan. She thought insincerely.
"Koutarou-kun, hi!" Elaine smiled brightly at Bokuto who finally noticed her. Upon meeting her eyes, he flashed her a grin.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Bokuto walked beside her, following the female to wherever she needed to go. "What are we here for, anyway?"
Elaine shrugged, waving around her credit card in Bokuto's face. "Shopping. Do you have anywhere you wanna go?"
Being a nice guy, Bokuto shook his head and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Nope. Lead the way! I'll follow you!"
Shrugging, Elaine linked her arms with his and dragged him off to whatever stores she wanted to go to. He simply hung around as she shopped freely, trying on whatever she wanted.
"God, I hate this." Maekawa muttered under her breath as she hid in a rack of clothes about twenty feet from Bokuto and Elaine. Akaashi stood beside her, buried in the clothes rack too.
"It's hot." Akaashi mumbled, wiping the sweat that beaded on his forehead. Maekawa nodded, swallowing slightly.
"Should we move?" Maekawa asked, watching Bokuto and Elaine leave the store with a few bags. Waiting a few minutes to prevent any run-ins, they left the store and subtly followed the two around.
Akaashi has been dragged along on this stalking event because he kind of felt bad for Maekawa. He wouldn't like it if his crush went on a 'date' with some random guy.
"Do you want to go in there?" Elaine asked curiously, noticing Bokuto eyeing the shop with a blatant interest. Upon hearing that, he nodded and headed into the store with Elaine.
"Hello, are you looking for anything in particular?" The woman who worked inside the store asked, glancing more at Bokuto than Elaine.
Elaine smiled falsely, tightening her grip on Bokuto's arm. "We're fine. Thank you."
The woman returned the false smile and turned on her heels, returning to her register to help another customer.
Bokuto's eyes scanned the shelves, taking in the sight of all these cute figurines. Elaine was kind of surprised that he liked this kind of thing.
"Uwah, look," Bokuto pointed at a small figurine of a character in chibi form. "Mae-chan loves these!"
Elaine leaned forward, taking a good look at the figurines that Maekawa loved so much. "Why?"
"I'm not sure." Bokuto chuckled, picking up one of the characters and inspecting it closely. "She's got a ton in her room, and she loves talking about them. Her eyes shine like Christmas lights. It's so cute."
Elaine felt an irk mark appear on her forehead at the compliment he was giving Maekawa who wasn't even here. Compliment me! The girl who's in front of you right now!
