{Alesha's POV}

BBBRRRIIINNNGGG!!!

I wake up to my alarm clock on what, to me, is the biggest day of my life. I have been waiting to see One Direction in concert for so long. They are my inspirations. Not like I can sing or anything, I mean, I sound like a dying pig. They inspire me to follow my dreams, and after a tough childhood of abuse, that is what I most want in life. To be where I dreamed of being since a little girl.

I leap out of bed, giddy with excitement. I walk over to my wardrobe and pull out my clothes for today. A knee length cream lace dress with a red belt, and my favourite pair of red heels. I would rather wear my jeans and hoodie. After a quick shower, I comb out my dirty blond hair, which is such a hassle to style. I blow dry it, then twirl my normally straight locks into small waves. I apply a small bit of make up, grab my phone and bag, and head out onto the streets. Immediately, I receive a text from one of my best friends, Lily.

'Hey Leash, ready for tonight?! xx'

I laugh to myself, send her a quick yes, and hop into my car. I still had to pick up Claudia, Amy and Eloise, my other best friends. Them, plus Lily and I, were all going to the concert together.

After collecting all the girls, I drive into the city, with What Makes You Beautiful blaring on the radio, and everyone singing along. We stop by at McDonalds for a quick lunch, then head to the arena where One Direction will be performing. Eloise, Lily and Amy were still singing at the top of their lungs as Claudia and I follow behind. We joined the rest of the screaming girls grouped around a closed off area. I could feel the butterflies forming in my stomach. Claudia squeezed my hand, as if she knew exactly how I was feeling.

The girls' screams in front of us rose, as a black car pulled up to the curb, and five irresistible guys stepped out. 'If only he would look at me' I thought to myself, and at that very moment, a pair of beautiful blue- green eyes turned in my direction. He looked unbelievable, with his brown hair swept off his face and a big small, flashing his pearly whites. His striped shirt and signature red jeans stood out amongst the crowd. He smiled at me, then made his way to the signing table, ready to greet thousands of fans.

*************

I had been standing in this line for over an hour. It moved so slow but I was nearing the table. I was so excited to meet them! I looked over the crowd and saw Eloise receiving a hug from Harry. I smiled. She is crazy for Harry.

I feel someone knock into my shoulder.

"Hey! Can you watch where you're going, please?" I turn around and see her. Sienna. The biggest snob a school. She was a One Direction fan too, but too over the top.

"Look who it is girls," she turns to her bunch of sheep,

"Poor little Alesha here is waiting to meet the band. She thinks she has a chance of impressing them!" she lets out a snort and her sheep laugh.

"No I don't. I just want to meet them-" she cut me off and barges past me, cutting into the line.

"No boy would want to be seen with you, let alone One Direction." she laughed her perfect laugh again, then turned to her sheep and started babbling on about how much she knew about One Direction.

Amy put her hand on my shoulder.

"Don't listen to them, Leashy. You deserve better. She is just a big- headed snot ball." I laughed at her description, and she smiled. I could always trust my friends to make me laugh.

The line seemed to move even slower after what Sienna said, but eventually, I was standing at the end of a long table, in front of Zayn Malik.

"Hey, love! Nice to meet you. What's your name?" he said in his sexy British accent. I felt eyes on me, and as I turned my head to the left, those blue-green eyes were on me again. I felt myself blush.

"I'm- I'm- My name is Alesha," I replied. I couldn't tear away from those eyes. "Welcome to Australia!" I add before he leans over and gives me a hug. It was the same routine for Niall, Harry and Liam. I was ecstatic, but I never took my eyes off Louis. As I neared him, the butterflies swarmed I'm the pit of my stomach.

"NEXT!"

I took another step forward, until I was standing directly in front of him.

"Hey, love! Nice to meet-" he glanced up and his words were cut off. 'what's wrong?' I thought to myself, 'do I have something on my face?' Feeling insecure, I started rubbing at my cheek.

"What are you doing love?" he was still looking at me. I glanced around, trying to spot the girls, but couldn't see them anywhere.

"I was- um..." my face flushed red again.

I looked back down at him, and he was still looking at me.

"Listen, love, I saw how that girl treated you back there. Don't let people like that push you around. You deserve better."

"So I've been told." I whisper, not loud enough for him to hear. I hated people taking pity on me for being weak, and not standing up for myself. Louis scrawled away on a picture of the band, then handed it to me with a wink. I smiled, then walked away.

Written on the poster was "Smile! You look beautiful when you smile- Louis xx"

{Louis' POV}

As soon as I stepped out of the van and saw her, my heart skipped a beat. She wasn't screaming or crying like the other girls. She was just standing there, staring at me, like she was under some sort of trance. The rest of the world seemed to blur together as I watched her, her mouth slightly opening and closing like a fish letting out bubbles. She was beautiful, but not in a model way. She had little flaws, like how one eye was slightly bigger than the other, and how her teeth weren't completely straight. They made her... Quirky... Different.

I watched her in during the signing too. I felt guilty, not paying attention to the other fans. I tried. The group the quirky girl arrived with were all getting plenty- scratch that- too much attention from the lads. They obviously fancied them. I smiled to myself.

She was approaching slowly. I watched a girl knock into her. Se was an attractive girl, but she had an ugliness to her. An ugly soul. She yelled at her, and turned to her 'followers', before walking away. The quirky girl looked physically upset, like she was going to break down.

I blanked out for a while, lost in my own thoughts. I robotically signed autographs, and ask the same questions over and over again, so when she was standing in front of me, I nearly dropped my pen. She started rubbing at her face. What was she doing that for?

"What are you doing, love?" I tried to cover up my nerves. She stuttered an answer, and turned red. She was embarrassed.

"Listen, love, I saw how that girl treated you back there. Don't let people like that push you around. You deserve better." I tell her. I mean it, too. She doesn't deserve to be treated like crap. I would never let anyone treat her like that- wait, what am I thinking? I can't date her...

I grabbed a photo of the lads and I, and wrote;

"Smile! You look beautiful when you smile- Louis xx" and handed it to her. I flashed her another smile, and she walked away, into the sea of girls.
