"Dream?" George called from somewhere in the apartment.

Dream looked up from where he sat on the couch.  "Yeah?"

"Could you clean the dishes in the sink?  I just noticed they're piling up, but I'm busy with other work," George said.

"Of course," Dream replied.  It's only the fifth time this week you've asked me to do them.

Despite his negative thoughts toward the task, Dream obliged to his boyfriend's request.  He lathered up the sponge, and waited for warm water to fill the sink.

Nearly all of these dishes are yours.

The man scrubbed at the dishes, setting the clean ones aside in the dish strainer.  When he glanced at the counter, he realized that there was stuff strung out on it.  The brea, the jelly and the butter holder which had a dirty knife set on top of it.

Augh.  It wouldn't hurt to put stuff back where it goes.

Dream sighed as he set the sponge and the dish in his hand down, moving to put the jelly back in the fridge and set the other items back in their respective places.

He returned back to the sink, continuing his grueling task.

When all of the dishes were stacked neatly, Dream wiped his hands dry on a dish towel before returning back to the couch.  It wasn't long until George came to join him, but only to scroll on his phone.

Eventually, Dream spoke up.  "Maybe we could go see a movie tonight?"

George shook his head almost instantly.  "No, I'm not in the mood," he said.  His eyes didn't leave his phone.  "Maybe tomorrow?"

"Oh," Dream said dejectedly.  You said that yesterday.

They sat for a little while longer, with Dream biting his lip the whole time.

"Have you thought of anything new for a video?" George asked.

All you ever talk about is YouTube.

"Kind of.  Water and lava are switched?  It's been suggested several times, and-"

"Yeah, that's good," George replied.

Dream's mouth twitched as he was about to continue, but he decided not to.

George got up and returned to his room without a word.

"Bye," Dream whispered.  He turned on the TV, searching for anything good.  When he settled on some show about making houses look better, he curled up on the couch.  He hugged one of the throw pillows on it tight.

I thought this relationship was the best idea.

I've always loved George so much, the way we'd always laugh and have fun.. What happened to that?

He's so devoid of.. any jubilation.  He's boring, and all he cares about is YouTube.

I miss the George I fell in love with.

As Dream's thoughts wandered, his mind eventually tired itself to sleep.

The sudden lurch in Dream's throat caused him to jolt awake.  He felt himself on the verge of retching, so he rushed to the restroom.
