All I Want For Christmas

Kieren Walker awoke with something tickling his nose, he shook his head groggily in an attempt to dislodge it, an attempt that was proven futile when the thing just continued to bother him. With a disgruntled swat and a groan he managed to knock it away and buried his head in his pillow.

Someone laughed from the other side of the room. A decidedly Irish chuckle that was far to masculine and, well, Irish, to be his sister and just masculine and Irish enough to be Simon

"Wharyoudoing?" He asked into his pillow.

There was a creaking of floorboards as Simon moved towards him followed by a dipping in on the bed beside him as he sat down.

"Waking you up." Simon informed him.

Kieran would tell him to fuck off and let him sleep but that was rude and Simon had begun to slip his fingers through Keiren's hair in a way that made his head tingle and his muscles become useless.

"Your family invited me round for the Christmas party, which - by the way - is in half an hour."

"But it's nine in the afternoon." Kieren protested. He was exhausted; having been stuck in the pouring rain all day with the other PDS sufferers putting up the Christmas tree in the square. Not to mention that what ever had happened to Amy (who survived being stabbed, thank God) was happening to him, and the cold had really got to him as well as the physical effort.

"C'mon, we're going to socialise for a few minutes then I'll come walking on the hill with you." Simon promised.

Kieren smiled into the pillow, then attempted to flip over. With Simon still sat beside him this proved difficult and his legs got tangled in the duvet. He sighed in annoyance and Simon chuckled once again. "Need help?"

Kieren glared at him with no actual annoyance. And then he realized that he was, of course, naked but for a pair of slightly holey boxers. Brilliant.  "Can you just get up and chuck me a pair of jeans?" He asked, and then added, because Simon was giving him a look that meant 'if you're not polite to me I'll just stay in your way and silently mock you'; "Please?"

Simon nodded, ran his fingers through Kieren's hair, and stood up. Kieren was left to watch as the other man rummaged through his drawers. And after five minutes he became restless and annoyed.

"It doesn't matter which ones."

"Yes, it does." Simon sounded adamant, still rummaging through the drawer. He made a triumphant noise and withdrew a pair of carrot coloured chinos.

"Why those?"

Simon turned and shrugged, throwing the trousers at the younger man before turning round and covering his eyes, almost mocking Kieren's want for personal space, but not quite.  "They suit you most."

Kieren shook off the fluttery feeling and the one quick beat his heart gave at that. "Thanks?" He murmured. He threw off the duvet and pulled the trousers on swiftly, standing up as he did so. "Speaking of clothing, what the hell is that on your chest?" He was of course referring to the pine green jumper adorned with shimmering red candycanes and white bobbles.

Simon turned, if dead people could blush his face would probably be an adorable shade of pink. "Amy got it for me. She said that it wasn't Christmas without stupid jumpers."

Kieren felt a smile pull at his lips. "Well you wear stupid jumpers all year round, so it might as well always be Christmas." He said.

"Shove off." Simon chuckled. "Are you gonna come like that or are you putting some actual clothes on?"

Kieren felt suddenly very aware of his bare chest and darted over to the chest of drawers, nudging Simon out of the way as he went. He grabbed the first t-shirt he could, and after a moment's consideration, threw it back in exchange for his one and only Christmas jumper. He felt eyes on him as he pulled them on which flustered him enough to get himself tangled.

Simon chuckled once again - Kieren would be getting annoyed at the sound if it weren't so endearing - and Kieren felt cool hands on his lukewarm skin, pulling the jumper back over his head.

"You put one arm through the head hole." The Irishman explained, and Kieren's partially deceased body managed to blush; stupid body. Kieren chuckled nervously and held his arms above his head like a small child waiting to be clothed. Simon didn't even chuckle this time, just smirked crookedly and reached up to dress Kieren. This meant he had to move closer so he could reach, and when Kieren could see again without red and white fabric impairing his vision they were almost nose to nose.

Simon's eyes flicked to Kieren's mouth and the younger could see where the contacts ended and his eyeballs started. He smelled like dust and cinnamon. Kieren wondered whether he still tasted the same. He was leaning forwards without even realising, their noses were touching, th-

A loud knock sounded, jolting them away from each other. Simon's eyes were wide and his mouth hung slightly open. Kieren could only imagine that he looked similar.

"Coming in." A female voice called. The door opened revealing Amy and Philip, both stood there in the ugliest jumpers Kieren had ever seen. Amy's featured yellow reindeer on orange wool, and Philip's the same but opposite way around.

"Evening." Phillip smiled awkwardly, looking from Simon to Kieren and back.

"Evening." The two replied, stepping yet further away from each other and smiling.

"Well don't you two just look festive!" Amy exclaimed, becoming a small blur barreling into Kieren's arms. He heard Simon chuckle yet again as the unneeded breath was punched from his lungs. He glanced over and felt air what was left leave him at the happiness in the other man's expression.

"I know, totally moregeous." He grinned down at her.

"My thoughts exactly. Now lets go downstairs and party!" She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the door. Simon let out an almost full laugh at that. He was so not getting out of this one. Keiren grabbed his wrist and pulled him along with them, revelling in the actual laughter he got.

Most of Roarton had turned up to the party; probably out of either pity or guilt. Kieren felt small and crowded, but when Simon's hand slipped into his he found he didn't quite care as much as usual. He gave it a soft squeeze and smiled when Simon squeezed back.

"Your parents are over there." Philip informed him. Kieren nodded and steered Simon in the opposite direction, he wasn't really in the mood for their forced smiles or the worry in their eyes. He moved towards the dining room, which was considerably more empty than the rest of the house... and for good reason.

"Mistletoe!" Was yelled ecstatically by Amy, leaving him both wondering where she'd appeared from since he'd last seen her on the other side of the room and why this always happened to him. And he was pushed into Simon by the aforementioned girl. He gave the other man an apologetic smile, and was met with a sly smirk. Wh-?

Simon's mouth met his forcefully and Amy's hand was replaced by his. His mouth was cool and open, waiting for Kieren to respond. He would say he had no choice, but that was so far from the truth. He wanted to kiss him forever; his soft, wet lips would stay the only taste Kieren ever wanted. He was vaguely aware of a cheer around the room but he ignored it in favor of pulling Simon into the dining room. Someone closed the door behind them and a joke was made, followed by a mix of laughter and disgusted noises but he didn't care because he was alone, kissing Simon, and being lifted onto the table with Simon's hands on his thighs. Everything was Simon and it was all he wanted - all he needed. It was perfect.

Simon pulled away first, leaving him leaning forwards trying to continue the kiss and whimpering when he was stopped. He opened his eyes dopily, brain reduced to a pile of Simon centered mess.

"I love you." Simon murmured, pressing their foreheads together, stroking Kieren's cheek.

The northerner grinned against his will, heart beginning to actually beat, he could feel the blood begin to flow.

"I love you too."
