Chapter 4

I'm now 17, Jamie is 20.
As is alex.

I have to admit that as alex is getting older, he's getting more and more handsome.

Today, I'm getting picked up to go to practice with the boys, as per usual.

I wait anxiously, kicking stones around with my battered vans. I can't stand to think about alex without blushing, or smiling. He never fails to make my heart skip a beat, its like the feeling when you don't feel your phone in your pocket, that little heart attack, but it feels good?

I soon notice Jamie honking his car horn at me as he slows down for me to climb in.

As I open the door I was expecting Jamie and Alex to be sat in the front together, but instead I notice a pretty, perfect blond girl sat beside Jamie. I looked up at my brother to notice his hand is on her thigh and a cigarette is dangling from his mouth. I furrow my eye brows with confusion and disappointment, he never told me about any of this. Maybe we're not as close as I thought.

I was so hypnotised by the sight in front of i that I hadn't noticed that Alex was sat in the back next to me.

"Hey Bear!" Jamie said to my as I sat down in the back of the car. 'Bear' was what Jamie always called me, it sort of stuck from when he used it one time when he was teasing me about my hair.

"Hey Jamie... Em.. Who's this?" I asked warily eyeing the girl.

"This is Katie, me girlfriend"

I shoot a small sweet smile at her, "Hi, and er, Jamie?"

"yeah?"

"Since when did you smoke?"

"Since a while back, I just never smoked around you, mum or dad"

"Mum'd kill you if she found out" I stated.

"Well she's not gonna find out, is she?" he glared at me with clenched teeth.

I didn't know what to say, he was my brother but he was acting weird and this was wrong! I sunk back into my seat and clipped my seat belt.

"calm it down, mate" alex said to Jamie

"sorreh" Jamie replied keeping his eyes on the road.

I notice Alex staring at me in the corner of my eye, I turn to look at him, "Hi" I say quietly.

"Hello" he replies sending infinite shivers down my spine, "how are you?" he asks

"I'm alright, I guess. How about you?"

"Not too bad"

I smile and then turn to look out of the window as we pull up to Matt's garage.
Nick and matt we sat on the kurb with a can of coke a piece.

I quickly jump out of the car to greet them both with a warm hug. Jamie follows with his arm around his girl's waist. I sigh at the sight.

"Guys I've got some news" Jamie announces.

"let's 'ear it then!" matt says exitedly

"Me and Katie have bought a flat together!"

The boys cheered and congratulated them, whilst I stood dumbfounded.

"What?!" I shout

The boys fall quiet and stare at me with confusion.

"Jamie you can't do this! What will mum and dad say?!"

"Why the hell do you care?! I'm fucking 20 years old I'm pretty sure I can do what I want!" he lashed out at me.

"You can't leave me Jamie!" I shout back

"I can do whatever the hell I want! Now piss off!"

I felt tears streaming down my face, I grabbed my bag, pushed past the boys and ran home as fast as my legs could carry me.
