Chapter 5

●●●

Explaining to Hobi (and his other two roommates) who Jungkook was was annoying. While Jiwoon and Hyunwoo were a bit worried, but something along the lines of 'As long as he isn't in our room, alright' Hobi's response was quite a bit more intense.

Of course Hobi was worried. The news were quite dramatic after all. Even though there weren't many of Jungkook's kind it felt like they were constantly on the news, doing bad things and endangering the lives of humans.

Even so Jimin managed to calm Hobi down by showing him some of the chats he had had with Jungkook. Even Hobi should be able to tell that Jungkook wasn't exactly dangerous when he read the chats of Jungkook complaining about lukewarm tap water being the worst.

"I wanna get to know him." Hobi stated after a while. "If you really like him as much as you say I really wanna get to know him."

Their first hour of them meeting went alright. Hobi and Jungkook were being really awkward though. Jungkook because he was being judged by Jimin's best friend and Hobi because Jungkook was not human.

But things quickly changed when Jungkook mentioned that he and Taehyung hadn't ever gotten the chance to be on a dance team but had actually tried learning some dances from the internet. Jimin could just tell that Hobi was sold after that, going on for more than half an hour about the different ways to learn dancing and mistakes that could easily happen when you didn't learn with a group.

By the end of the evening all the tension seemed to have vanished with Hobi treating Jungkook almost like an old friend he had known for years. Jimin was glad. He knew Hobi was going to freak out when he would finally tell him about his crush on Jungkook though.

Probably a more positive kind of freak out though in comparison to before. Jimin wondered if dating in between species even was a thing for Jungkook. Maybe he didn't even stand a chance to begin with.

"Can I sit with you?" Jimin heard a surprisingly familiar voice when he least expected it. Sure, it made sense that Jungkook was here too, after all they did go too the same school, but for some reason he hadn't really considered Jungkook also eating at the cafeteria as a possibility.

The two people sitting opposite of him, both classmates, just stared at the person standing behind him.

"Of course." Jimin smiled, inching a bit to the side for Jungkook to take a seat on the bench next to him. When he turned back to his classmates, who had just been gossiping about this and that happily before, the only thing he found was silence and fear in their eyes.

Jihye, who usually never actually stopped talking, just sat there, staring at Jungkook before turning to Jimin, eyeing him in disbelieve.

Jimin didn't plan on explaining his actions. Why should he have to explain why he let a friend sit with him in the first place, so instead he just focused on Jungkook asking him about his day.

Not even a minute had passed when Jihye muttered something about feeling sick and going to the infirmary and then Youngjin followed her, not even explaining himself, just leaving... and they were sitting alone at the table. Jimin sighed, following them with his eyes.

"It's kind of ridiculous, isn't it?"

"It's normal. I'm still surprised you're so chill with it." Jungkook admitted, looking down at his lunch tray. "If they are going to leave, wanna sit with us instead? At least I can promise you that my friends won't run away... they are way too curious about you." Jungkook offered and Jimin glanced around.
