Cannibal

CHAPTER ONE

Authors note: Hey guys:)
This is the first time I have ever publicly published a book so please let me know what you think about it.
Warning: This story will possibly contain gory and unsettling scenes.

"Hey Kara, long time no see" Chase announces as he leans back in his chair watching as Kara joins them in detention,
And without a care in the world, Kara walks up behind Chase and knocks him off his chair.

"Hay! What was that for?" Kara smirks and takes her seat next to Iris "Did you really have to go and do that to him?" Iris asks as he takes out his chicken sandwich, as Kara catches wind of the delicious delicacy, she swoops in and snatch's it from Iris taking one large bite out of it and while still chewing her stollen meal she replies "Of course I did, that's what he gets for ratting me out" Iris rolls his eyes and pulls out a second sandwich unwrapping it and shoves it into his mouth, he looks over to Kara, who had finished her's  seconds ago, and smirks.

As Chase was settled back in his seat, Curtis strolls in with an irritated expression plastered to his face "Look who decided to show!" Chase grins at Curtis and slings his feet up to rest on the desk "Well it's not like I had a choice....apparently I had beaten up the school's most beloved student" Curtis rolls his eyes and sits down next to chase, Chase sympathetically pats Curtis on the head, but Curtis bats it away.

Kara bursts out with laughter slapping her hand against the table as she settles she leans back in her chair, hands clasped behind her head, and sighs looking distant for a second but she shakes her head and asks "What have you guys got planned for later?" Chase shoots up from his seat, a gleam in his eyes "I know! we could come back here tonight and set up a prank on the head teacher" Kara, Iris and Curtis all look at each other and shake their heads "Been there done that" Iris states

"Yeah" Curtis chimes in "By the way we'd all just get suspended....again....and I don't think my parents would take that very well"

Kara looks out the window for a bit, and then asks "What about the park?" no one objects "Well that's settled!" Kara grins and stands, walking towards the door "Where are you going?" Iris asks, raising an eyebrow, Kara gives Iris the look "Duhhh, the skate park of course!" Kara laughs and bolts out of the room with Chase, Curtis and Iris hot on her tail.

Kara sighs heavily watching as Chase runs laps around the park chasing Curtis "All right spill it" Iris demands, staring at Kara expectantly "What are you talking about?" Kara asks looking away, Iris rolls his eyes "You have been sighing non stop ever since you walked into detention this morning....your still thinking about Izzy arn't you?"

Kara sighs "My sister is still missing along with a bunch of other people lately, my parents have forgotten all about me and like the police they gave up looking for them all ages ago" Kara looks at Iris, he holds her gaze "They will find her and everyone else who is missing to" Kara shakes her head and stands up "No they won't, people have been suddenly vanishing for months now and they still haven't found any leads...it's just...silent" Kara stands there for a minute, her hands starting to shake at her sides
"They will never find her" as Kara says that, a single tear escapes and slides down her face, she wipes it away angrily and storms of to the swing and sits down, slowly swaying back and forth.

Iris walks over and stops her, Kara looks up to Iris "Let's find Izzy...let's go find them all" Iris states with confidence, Kara looks at him shocked then smiles sadly "ok" Iris looks confused "ok?" Kara rolls her eyes and laughs "Yes Iris...lets go find them" Kara and Iris looks at each other and both grin.

" What are you two grinning about?" Chase asks Iris jumps back startled and Kara laughs, Chase stands there curiously holding Curtis in a choke hold.

"Kara and I are gunna try and find Izzy and everyone else who is missing if we can" Chase drops Curtis on the ground who is gasping and yells "What?!" Chase stands there shocked then he thinks for a bit, Chase slowly walks up to Iris with his finger pointed at him

"only if I get to be the leader..."

Kara laughs harder and Iris shakes his head "Fine...just don't get us lost" Chase looks at Iris offended "That was only one time!!... it's not like It was my fault we got lost camping and then chased by a squirrel!" Iris rolls his eyes "You were the one who was supposedly being chased by the squirrel, Kara, Curtis and I where on the ground dying from laughter" Chase looks to Curtis then Kara who were once agin rolling on the ground laughing "Might I say, that squirrel had fangs and was attacking me with his nuts!!, And you guys where just standing there waiting for me to get murdered by a squirrel?!" Chase shouts, which just make Kara and Curtis laugh even harder.

By the time Chase had finished his ranting and Kara and Curtis had settled them selves enough Kara asks "So are you two in or not?"
"Of course!" Chase practically yells offended that we had to ask in the first place while Curtis on the other hand was a bit hesitant but agreed in the end to our crazy idea.

"Let's come back here tonight at ten with at torch each and something to protect ourselves with but make sure that your weapon is hidden in case we get caught" Kara say's,
with everyone on board they all nod and head home to grab their supplies.

It's pitch black when they gather together at the park as planned, Kara walks up to the others holding a crowbar in her right and her torch in her left "Have you all got what you need?" She asks, everyone nods their heads and holds out an individual weapon each.

Curtis welds a kitchen knife in both of his hands, his hands shaking slightly.
Chase pulls out a hammer, looking proud with what he scored and Iris takes out a baseball bat, Kara looks at him for a beat and he just shrugs.

"Ok then, let's do this" Kara says confidently and they all walk of to where Izzy had last been seen.
