Almost Is Never Enough.

"Angelo.. I have to go." Cookie announced in annoyance.

"No you listen to me Cookie. I am sick and tired of this CooCious movement thing going on. Either you fix it or I do. Goodbye." Angelo said before hanging up the phone.

Cookie groaned and threw her phone on top of her bed. She was utterly annoyed with this whole 'When Cookie Met Lucious' thing that Jamal wanted to do. Though, she was glad that he was better and started to work more on his music. But she just couldn't take Angelo's nagging and complaining about how people love and adore Lucious Lyon and his ex-wife, Cookie Lyon.

Hearing her door bell ring, Cookie got even more annoyed. She wasn't expecting nobody to be coming over to her place at this time. Angelo was busy doing his campaign stuff and Porsha was running around town getting the errands that Cookie needed her to get done. Cookie huffed before walking over towards her door and opening it wide.

"Lucious.. what are you doin' here? Air hustling?" She jabbed at him.

"Look, I just wanted to see you. That's all." He spoke while he leaned on her door.

"You can come inside Lucious." Cookie said while opened the door a little bit more to allow him to walk inside.

Lucious stepped inside her place slowly before turning to look at her. "Are you alright?" He asked her. Cookie closed the door slowly and looked down at the floor sighing.

"No." She mumbled.

"Why?"

"Lucious.."

"Just tell me, please." He begged.

"It's just this whole 'When Cookie Met Lucious' thing.. Angelo has been complaining so much about it lately because I guess.. people have been walking up to me and telling me how much they love CooCious, while I'm in front of Angelo." Cookie ranted to Lucious.

"He don't know what your drive is Cookie. He don't know you like how I know you." Lucious interrupted.

"Sure Lucious.." Cookie grumbled under her breath.

"He don't know me like how you know me. That's.. not okay because he's my boyfriend." She continued before looking at the floor.

Lucious inched closer towards Cookie rubbing the side of her arms right before looking into her brown eyes. She stared back up into his hazel green eyes that she always adored. They stood in the middle of Cookie's apartment until the door was unlocked.

"Baby! I got you some.. flowers." Angelo said while slowly walking inside Cookie's place with her favorite flowers in his hand.

Lucious slowly backed away from Cookie and cleared his throat. Cookie, gazed down at the floor playing with her nails as she heard Lucious walk towards her front door, he gave Cookie a look before looking towards Angelo's way.

"Nice to see you, Oreo." Lucious spat before walking out Cookie's place and slamming the door behind him.

"What was that about? You want to explain to me what I just saw?" Angelo questioned.

"He was just comforting me.. it's nothing more Angelo, we were just talking. That's all." Cookie responded. She just needed some peace, and she was receiving that, but the devil appeared in the doorway.

Angelo nodded his head and scoffed. He walked past Cookie and into their bedroom. Angelo had just officially moved in with Cookie, a few weeks ago.
