Treat You Better by Shawn Mendes
The glass began to fog as the coffee shop got an influx of new and wet customers due to the glaring storm outside. As it pelts down a somber-looking fellow sits in the back corner, his glasses have slid down his nose and it seems as though he has given up on pushing them back into place as he stares out the window. Thoughts raced across his eyes until he is pulled from his mind by the waitress as she brings him a small stained cup of coffee. He drinks it black.
The Waitress- Blank Space by Taylor Swift
As she sets his cup down with a small clink she gives a small smile hoping to get his attention. She tries to start a conversation but he seems to roll her off. She likes the challenge and glances behind the counter to make sure her boss wasn't looking as she now occupied the seat across from the chestnut-haired gentleman. She leaned forward as she began to strike a conversation about a trip to a far off country that had never actually happened. His interest piqued as he raised a brow listening to what he assumed to be a long and twisted tail but he let her continue.

Just as she would have him at the edge of his seat she would pull away. She would get up and say she had to attend to the other guests or that her manager was watching. He would catch himself wishing she could just sit there with him and yet he didn't even know her name. He looked forward to the moments when she would sneak away and come continue the story. Of course, some of the facts would change between each visit. What began as and small beige purse would become a large blue beach tote and so on.
Coffee Shop Owner- The A Tema by Ed Sheeran
As his most valued waitress danced across the small shop he kept watching her land at the gentleman's table in the far corner by the window. The old man smiled as she would lean forward and talk to the man seated there. Every now and then she would glance up at the old man behind the counter a small smile playing on his lips. He hadn't seen her so energetic and happy in so long. He watched as her long golden flecked ponytail would swing back and forth as she rushed to get back to what looked to be a rather interesting story. He would have to ask her later what she had been saying that had caused the man to hang onto her every word .
