Sophie's POV
Shortly after school ended, we arrived at Victoria's house.
"Victoria!" I yell, as I'm in the living room and she's in the garage getting drinks.
"Yeah?" she asks, walking back into the house.
"Wanna watch a movie?" I ask her. Shoot, i need to tell her.
"Yeah sure! what movie?" She asks, looking through Netflix.
"how about Mean Girls? it's perfect." I suggest.
"That's what I was thinking!" She says and I laugh.
The whole movie I couldn't stop thinking. I needed to tell her about my friends, but how was I supposed to? I tried to pay attention to the movie.
"Oh my God Karen you can't just ask people why they're white." Victoria quotes and I laugh.
"How many times have you seen this movie?" I ask her.
"Too many." She sighs.
When I see the credits roll by I know I have to tell her.
"I need to tell you something." I blurt out.
"okay, what?" she says, curious.
"well, my family is friends with another family who is moving across the street from you, so I was wondering if you could get to know the two boys a little, over facetime? The one boy is our age, and the other is a couple years older."

"sure." i say. what's the worst that could go wrong?
she scrolls through her contacts and presses facetime on a contact. i couldn't tell who though. the boys connected it, and who was on that screen would change my life forever.
it was Hayes and Nash Grier.
