Chapter 1 ●Introduction●

"Tae calm down-" 

"Dont fucking tell me to calm down Y/n!" He yells in your face, spit flying out of his mouth. You flinch, making him even angrier. 

"Why did you fucking flinch..? You expecting me to hit you or something?! Well maybe I should, because you obviously need a fucking reality check!"

Tears silently rolled down your cheeks as he yells this. Your body was tense and frozen, not making any sudden moves. "I cant believe your this careless Y/n. How could you get yourself fired?!" He yells after pacing back and forth. He panics because he refuses to get a job. Even though he covers it up by saying hes looking but having no luck. You weren't stupid though. You knew he just wanted to use you, but you felt so small and useless under him you couldn't seem to get away from this nightmare.

Taehyung has been like this for as long as you have known him. He had temper issues and lashes out at even the simplest things like not answering a text fast enough for example. It's been two years since you two became a couple. Although he was sweet at first, he showed his true colors soon enough. But by that time you were already sucked in, and couldn't leave him because you love him. Hes all you have. 

"I'm going out to get a drink, don't wait up for me.." he mutters out before exiting the apartment as he slams the door. You flinch at the loud sound, sighing with relief when he was finally gone. Being alone was your only escape from him. You used work as an example, staying late on nights making excuses that you had work to finish up. When in reality...you were just too afraid to confront him.

You only moved to this new city a couple months ago to be closer to your mom. She wasn't doing too well, and no one knew why. She said she would go to the doctors again today to get some tests done and said she would call afterwards. So you waited, and waited, and waited, but nothing. Getting a little worried you just call her yourself, listening to the ringing before hearing her pick up on the other end.

Mom: Y/n..?

Y/n: Hey mom, just wanted to check up and see how your doctors visit went today.

-

Mom: Oh right, I'm sorry I forgot to call. She says before coughing.

Y/n: Are you okay mama?

-

Mom: Yes dear, it's okay. But I have bad news..

-

Your heart drops hearing that. What bad news could she possibly have to tell you..?

Mom: I have cancer...

Y/n: W-what..?

-

You were stunned by the news you just heard. She has something that kills people daily, and the thought of her dying scared you because your dad had already passed years ago..you didnt want to lose her as well. She was your everything. The light at the end of the dark and constantly rotating tunnel you seemed to be stuck in.

Mom: Dont worry dear, we will figure this out okay?

Y/n: O-okay..

Mom: Now I have to go, I love you my sweet angel.
