Chapter 2

(Lila keeps a diary it's more of a journal of notes to Noah.) Lila continues to write day in and day out to Noah whenever she has spare time on her hands. On this day as well as many other days she receives a chill that spreads through out her entire body ever time she says his name. Her cacoon was breaking and Lila knew it. The soft embrace she once knew was slowing slipping from her fingers. So much she barely notices it anymore.

Noah the gentle, smart, well known, star baseball payer of his high school died September 3rd 2007. The eerie night after the big homecoming game ended up being the saddest night of everybody's life at New Shire High School. Each girl and boy heard about the tragic accident within the hour of it happening. Granted this was a very small town; everybody knew everybody and everything about them. Atleast that's what they use to think before the accident.

The whole town was devastated by the fact that one of their own had been killed in such a tragic accident. The police officers of Manshire, Maine have two theories. One being Noah committed suicide by plowing himself into a giant oak tree on Route 63. The other more possible explanation is that somebody was driving Noah's car, and ran his side into the tree. All the evidence points to that explanation. But who would do that to Noah? The evidence shows that the driver side airbag had been slashed or cut with some pointy object, The whole front window was smashed, and Noah was thrown from the car. His mutilated body was found (by me) a few feet away from the crash site. I found him drifting in and out of unconscious state of mind, and barely breathing.

Lila had to be consoled everytime Noah's name came up in a conversation for the next few week's after his death. She had been the one to find him. The one who saw his battered body laying flaccid on the side of the road. Lila had not been able to go through an entire night without waking up crying from a nightmare or flashback of Noah's mangled body.
