Karkat was sleeping with Dave's cape wrapped tightly around his cold,fragile body.
"Kargles get up! We are going to see John."
"Dave, you know I don't like that ass! He is just a jerk."
"Karbro I know he is a jerk but I know you would do anything for me."
2 Hours Later
Karkat finally woke up and got dressed half-ass. He put on his typical gray turtleneck and his gray pants. He rummaged through his closet to find a half decent suit case.
"Fuck! Strider!!! This suit case is broken!!"
"Karkat, you need to calm down. I bought you a new one."
"Dave, you didn't have to do th--"
Before Karkat could finish, Dave stuffed the suit case into his arms.
"Come on Karkat let's get ready."
Once again Karkat rummaged through the closet in search of clothes to wear to John's house.
"Why am I spending so much time looking for nice clothes to wear to John's house. Uhg."
Karkat decided to just pack his usual gray turtle neck and his black skinny jeans, and just to be "cool", he packed his sweatshirt.
"Karkat were late get your ass downstairs now!"
"Damn it Strider! I will be there when I am fucking ready!"
"Look Karkat, I know you hate him, but he just got dumped, and I need to go there to cheer him up, but I couldn't go alone. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner."
"Damn it! For being a mutant you sure have a way with words."
"Why thank you! Now come on, we have to get going."
Karkat Sat upstairs for a couple more minutes and thought.
What the Hell was I thinking, Egbert will freak when he sees you, you have to tell Dave you aren't feeling good then you can stay home. Fuck, he could tell I was lying though. What if...------
"Fuck, Kargles, come on!"

The whole time that Karkat was sitting in the car, he thought about seeing John and what his reaction would be.
I should have never agreed to go on this trip. I mean sure I love Dave, and yes I would do anything for him, but not go meet that asshole again. What am I thinking. Wait! We aren't out of town yet.I can still change my mind. I just have to tell Dave.
"Dave, look I need to tell you something."
"If it's about John, I don't want to hear it. We won't be staying at his place, we are crashing at Nepeta's hive, if that's okay."
"Whatever."
Shit, now I'm stuck in a car with Dave for five hours, and I have to see John, but the worst part, is Nep. She claims I am her flushed crush and now I'm going to be sleeping in her hive??!! What the hell was I thinking. This is gonna be the worst week of my life.
