~~~Dex's POV~~~
"Yes. Make sure all the arrangements are done. And paparazzi should also be managed. Not a single picture should be clicked." I said on the phone.
"Okay sir. Have a pleasant journey." The official replied.
I descended from the car which stood in the middle of the hangar and runway, putting on my aviators.She got down too. Today she was wearing white clothes. I didn't bother speaking to her since last night when I asked her to pack her stuff. I didn't find the need to tell her where we are going. She didn't come to sleep on the bed that night. In fact, she did not enter the room even. She spent the whole night outside. I kept thinking about her words to Lawrence and her horrified expression when I said that I would get her killed.
There was eerie silence. She did not say anything apart from smiling at me occasionally and greeting me at all times during the different part of the day.
The Dorothy at home was much more talkative and bubbly.
You're succeeding then.
"Dex! Look! The plane colour matches my dress." She whispered coming to stand beside me.
"Stupid." I mumbled back without sparing her a glance.
When we got into the aircraft, she sat on the window seat as I had expected and I sat down leaving a seat beside her.
"Sir, shall we take off in fifteen minutes?" The female flight attendant asked me and I nodded.
I took out my laptop and switched it on.
She was playing with the seat belt buckle.
"It's for holding you back so that you don't get hurt during the take off and landing and if there is any turbulence during the journey." I said and she looked up smiling.
"They care so much for us."
"Actually, for people like you, there should be a mouth belt too. So that you could stop speaking." I retorted, entering password into my laptop.
"By the way, you're seeing this for the first time, aren't you? A private jet? Or rather, air travel as a whole must be a new experience for you."
"Nope."
"So you aren't that much of a beggar, now are you?" I smirked.
She just shook her head. "Gold digging and begging are different honey, sorry to argue." She spoke as the plane took off.
I clenched my jaw, being left without an answer.
"Sir would you like something to eat?" The attendant asked.
"Get me a coffee and my sandwich." I told her.
"And you maam?" She asked her.
I looked at Dorothy.
"Thank you. I am not hungry." She answered.
It was an eight hour flight.
