Y/n pov
Y/n: Ugh! I signed up to shoot not sit around.
On coms sheath: You get paid either way.
Y/n: I know. But why do I have to be a get away driver?
Sheath: Because that's what you're paid for.
Y/n: Fine.
Afte waiting five minutes.
Sheath: Y/n come in.
Y/n: What is it Sheath?
Sheath: The special ops team went dark. New mission is to locate and secure the team. If there is bodies secure them. Kill any hostiles in you're way.
Y/n: Affirmative.
I got out of the humvee and go out my rifle. I started walking towards the compound the special ops team was supposed to get into. It was pretty empty. I saw dead bodies all around outside.
Y/n: Looks like this went sideways. Hopefully this doesn't cut my pay at all. Not my fault if their dead.
I continued looking around looking for any sign of life or a body. I turned a corner to see a body hanging upside down. I saw it was one of the special ops guys.
Y/n: Jesus christ.
He was clearly dead. I cut the rope and let his body dropped on the ground. I put the body against the wall to remember where it was. I continued moving and entered what looked like a command center.
I went to the last room. To see the rest of the special ops team. They were all seemingly dead. I saw one against the wall. I noticed his chest move. He was still breathing. I ran up to him. He seemed to be bleeding out. I ran up to him. I looked at his wounds. He had a deep wound from some sort o blades. Two entry points.
The Soldier died as I tried to patch him up. I looked at the big stab wounds on him. No knife could have made that wound, and the curvature was weird.
Y/n: Y/n to sheath.
Sheath: This is Sheath.
Y/n: I found the team. I don't know what the fuck did this but it wasn't fucking human.
Sheath: Get the bodies and get out. Our employer won't pay otherwise.
I felt like something was watching me. I knew better than to not listen to my gut. I turned my head. I could faintly see the outline of a foot outside the door. It was cloaked. I knew my next move would be crucial
I slowly pulled out a flashbang. I pulled the pin then spun around and chucked it towards the doorway. I jumped into cover as it went off. I waited patiently for whatever it was to come out. My grip on my rifle was iron.
I saw a disk flying at me. I ducked behind cover avoiding it. As it was going back to sender I followed it with my Rifle and when it stopped fired a little below it hitting something in the gut. It let out a roar of pain green blood coming from it. It shot something at me which I dodged and returned fire. I shot a leg making it have a limp. My gun jammed and I threw it aside. I saw it uncloak and lunge at me.
I dodge as I saw its wrist blade almost hit me. I jumped on its back and stabbed it in the back of the neck multiple times. It still threw me off and tried to stomp on me. I rolled away and pulled out my pistol shooting its mask a few times. The mask broke and I could see its ugly face.
Y/n in head: That's one ugly motherfucker.
I shot at it again only for it to throw a spear at me. I dodged and shot a few more times hitting it in the gut again.
Y/n: Just die!
I heard a click from my gun. I threw it at the creature hitting it right in the temple. I rushed an tackled it and pulled out a grenade. I pulled the pin and shoved it in its mouth. I jumped off and dove behind a box. I heard the explosion.
Y/n out of breath: S...sheath. Tango down. * pants* It...was fucking ugly.
Sheath: Was it human?
Y/n: Negative. Unless we start bleeding green. I'm getting the team out. I am not carrying that fucking thing.
I put the dead special forces team in the humvee. I took off not looking back. I'm going to have nightmares about that for a while.
(Unknown pov)
That was interesting. All alone he did what most humans fail to do in great numbers. I went up to the fallen hunter. I didn't feel sorry. Because of him im stuck on this planet. Even though I hated him. Even before we left home. I had to at least give him his right.
I punched in the code of his wrist blade and left. I wanted to find the human that killed him. It would be interesting to learn how one human could take down a hunter. Even one as stupid as the slain one. I looked at the tracks of his vehicle. He is leading me right to him.
