The soldiers began to surround the cave just as Roocheford immediately rolled himself on the black sand that was on the ground few seconds before the soldiers rushed in he quickly made an attempt to hide in the darkest part of the cave as the soldiers rushed in ,John and Jane with their gun pointed at the Japanese they knew they had no chance of surviving if they fought back so they dropped their guns as they were being taken captive ,Roocheford's clumsy self while trying to hide so badly from the Japanese made a creaking sound
"What's that?"The Japanese soldier asked
While walking towards the place where the sound came from John quickly pulled a fast one to distract the soldier ,Luckily his plan worked but not before a soldier knocked him out with his rifle
"Take them they are our captives we'll use them as an example so those Americans know we're not to be fucked with"
Jane struggles as she spat on the soldier's face and said "We're going to gut you,I'm going to fucking gut you weird looking fuck"
"Hahaha take this one to my chambers, she's feisty"he said
Immediately after the soldiers left roocheford began to run back towards his home base in this rough aftermaths of war ,he began to think to think to himself on how he had abandoned John and Jane and knew their rescue was left to him,he debated several times on whether to return to the camp claiming he didn't cross parts with any of them or rather call for back up when he reaches the base but at the cost of the lives of his friends if he was too late to save them but his conscience kept playing on him and he suddenly took a pause at running and started picking up grenades and every explosive he could find from the bodies of the dead soldiers he had come up with a plan
Roocheford came up with a plan to sneak Sergeant John and Jane out of where they were being held captive and blowing up the camp where they had been held,he then decided to sneak back into the Japanese camp where his mates were being held captive under tight surveillance, he managed to take down few of the guards without getting noticed not until he triggered a trip wire and set out an alarm,The Japanese soldiers incharge wasted no time in running into the camp to see what had set off the alarm,Roocheford quickly cut John and Jane loose and urged them to make a run for it
"I'm right behind you" Roocheford said
"What do you mean by you're right behind us"Jane said
He looked at John and nodded his head seemingly communicating with John,John nodded back understanding what he meant John saluted Roocheford in sign of respect as Roocheford did the same with a sad smudge on his face.
John grabbed Jane by the waist and started to pull her back ,Jane now realizing what the whole head nodding was about then began to throw punches at John's chest
"No!No!Leave me,Fucking leave ,we can't just leave him behind no one should be left behind" Jane said as her voice began to crack while screaming at the top of her voice a tear rolled down her eyes
As they ran towards a vehicle they could use to escape everything seemed to work as though the intensity of the war had just increased slowly ,Roocheford took out a grenade from his backpack amongst the other grenades he had packed and knelt down and began to hum a song "Take me home,country roads"as he waited for the Japanese to come running in before pulling the clip of the grenade
