Hello Kira!
So I was telling you that I got it all worked out. Then I realized that the school year was almost over, so I decided to wait a couple of months. After all, it wouldn't make any sense to try and enroll at EVANS with just a few weeks of school remaining.
In the meantime, I've been preparing by looking at the wanted ads in the paper. To tell you the truth, I'm getting a little bit worried. Most of the positions I see are for sweatshops or maintenance (which means cleaning houses or buildings). I hope I can get a job that pays well, at least enough to save little by little.
By the way, I gotta think of how I am going to hide the money I get. First I thought under the mattress. I could put it in a small bag and leave it there. I realized that would be the first place my mom would look. I thought about several places, but this is a small apartment and there aren't many choices.
This is what I decided to do: I'm going to send my aunt Mary in Birdview 60% of what I make for her to deposit in a savings account. 20% I will give to my best friend, Abbed, to keep for me. The remaining 20% I will use for my expenses, you know, buses and stuff.
My love to you.
Kira"

It's been two months since I told you of my plans.
School year is about to begin, so I'm ready to set everything in motion. I'm going to go out today to look for a job. Well, not me. Vicky is.
Wish me luck!
