Neighbours

"Mira?" A male's voice spoke as she is looking at the sea, making her avert her gaze to the owner of the voice. "Kibum?" She asked back, shocked. "Where have you been?" Kibum asked, curious. "Mira?! You know her?" Daehyun asked and the guy nodded. "Neodo?" He asked back and Daehyun nodded.

"So you are in Seoul?" Kibum asked after Daehyun explained how he met her and she nodded. "Yah, how did you know her then?" Daehyun asked, curious. "She used to be my neighbour." Kibum replied, shocking him. "You are from Busan?!" Daehyun asked and she nodded. "Still baking cakes?" Kibum asked and she nodded again. "See you, i have to go." She said and walked away. "What's wrong with her?" Daehyun asked and Kibum shrugged.

An hour passed and she is walking to the bakery store she used to work for. "Eomma, i want the cake that unnie make!" A girl whined and the workers are calming her down when one of them caught sight of Mira. "Mira-yah, can you help us bake a cake for this girl?" She requested and Mira nodded. "What cake do you want?" Mira asked as she crouched down while smiling. "I want the big chocolate cake with decorations!" She said, smiling and Mira smiled. "She wants Opera." Her mother whispered and she understood. "You can come back in about two hours." Mira said and they thanked her and left.

After an hour and a half, she is finally done with the cake. "Unnie, you can call them to collect the cake already." Mira said as she went out of the kitchen. "Yah, how much do i have to pay you?" The chef asked and she just smiled while shaking her head. "It's on the house." She said and left after bidding them goodbye.

It's evening by the time she arrived at the hospital. "Eomma, did you eat the cake?" She asked once she reached her mother's ward and her mother nodded. "Did you like it?" She asked and her mother nodded again. After chatting for awhile, she left to eat dinner.
