Ella's POV
As I neared my locker, I felt someone come up behind me and push me up against the other lockers. As soon as my body slammed into the metal, I let out a groan of pain. I let out a whimper when my head made contact with the harsh edges of the metal. When my vision came back, I lifted my head and saw the face of someone who I always hated.
''Well what do we have here?", Cathy said, ''If it isn't the little shy girl." She said as she forcefully shoved me harder up against the lockers. I stayed silent. If I made a sound, it would make it worse.
'What did I to you for you to treat me like this?', I thought as she dropped me to the floor. I sat up and leaned up against the locker as I watched her laugh with her pack of witches behind her. I thought for a second that she was going to walk away. Boy, was I wrong. As I began to stand up, I felt a sudden rush of pain on my right lower side. I groaned in agony as I hugged my side.
I curled up into a ball as I felt more kicks. I tried to ignore all the punches to my face as much as I could but some got through. After a while the kicks and punches slowly started to come to a stop. I tried to sit up but the pain was too great.
Laughter filled my ears as Kathy and her minions walked away. I sat there as I tried to let the pain subside from my body. I tried to even my breathing in order for my lungs to stop burning. I slowly leaned against the locker behind me and tried to stand up. It was hard since my muscles didn't really agree with the pain. Once I got up I tried to walk to my next class but I just ended up falling on the floor again.
"Shit", I hissed as my side collided with the locker again. I sucked in a deep breathe and tried again. Just as I got up the second late bell rang.
'Damn it I'm going to be late again', I thought as I quickly tried to stand up again. I immediately fell back down when the pain ran up my side's. I sucked in a deep breathe as I, slowly this time , stood up and leaned against the wall. 'I can do this' I told myself.
I pushed myself off the wall and reached for my backpack. I hissed through clenched teeth as I leaned down to pick it up from the floor and felt a raging fire in my ribs.
'Just another normal day at school', I thought as I threw my bag over my shoulder and walked, well limped, to my first class.
