On one side of the city lived Chloe. A young woman in her 20s, passionate about music and singing, who did everything for her so perfect group calls: The Barden Bellas. Chloe lived with her family in a simple house, surrounded by flowers and with a touch of mother everywhere. Her parents were Rachel and John, both in their 40s and with red hair and pool-blue eyes, and her brothers Josh and Mary, Josh at 15 and Mary at 12, and like her parents the three children were red and pool-blue eyes. John and Rachel owned the most famous pharmacy in town and expected their children to follow the same path as them, but our little big Chloe had a dream of being a veterinarian.
On the other side of the city lived Beca. A closed girl, very confused by everything, used and abused her sarcasm as defense mechanisms. She had recently turned 19 and was not at all excited about going to college because she was going to be obliged. Her father Chris was a professor of English literature at the school and made Beca study at the same school because he would not have to pay for college. Her mother Jane had a very famous accounting office in the city and wanted Beca to take care of her company in the future, but the little one had the dream of becoming a music producer, and she would not let go of her dreams too soon. You bet. Beca had a younger brother, his name was Charlie and he was 13 years old. The two had a very good relationship. All of Beca's family were dark brown with midnight blue eyes, but everyone said that Beca had a special glow in his eyes. Beca went to business school to please her parents, but planned to go to Los Angeles as soon as she finished her degree and nothing would change her mind. Really?
POV CHLOE
I can't believe the holidays are over and I'm back to school. Barden University missed me, maybe not much, but it did. After the embarrassment we may have in the competition finals last year, we need to get back to everything this year and since Aubrey and I are the leaders this year, everything has to be perfect. Luckily it is not yet our last year, so we will have more than one
chance to win the championship and be able to represent the USA in the world, I can't wait to start the auditions.-Chloe, come down as soon as you are going to be late! - Rachel shouted from downstairs.
-I'm going mom, tell the kids to be ready! -By her voice, Chloe looked excited.
-Why did Chlo say that mom? - Mary asked taking a cookie that her mother had made for coffee.
-I also didn't understand baby, but do what she asked! -Rachel was just as confused as the kids.
Chloe skipped down and quickly devoured a cookie. She picked up her backpack and looked at her simblings with a smile.
-I'll take you today! -I said without making any ceremony and taking the hand of the simblings.
-Are you sure about that, Chlo? You can be late. - Rachel found it strange, because Chloe never had time for that.
-I do, mom! I'm not a freshman anymore, I can escape the rules a little bit. - Her mother looked at her crookedly disapproving her statement. - I'm kidding mom! Now come on kids. Chloe shook hands with her simblings and headed for the car. All that enthusiasm is that Chloe finally got her driver's license.
POV BECA
I can't
believe the holidays are over and I'm going to have to go to another school. Seeing new people, having to wake up early and having to study something that has nothing to do with music just to please my father. If he knew how much I want to go to Los Angeles ... He probably wouldn't care, but he could at least give me the pain of being here. My luck is that Amy will be with me, my best friend ever and that she won't let me leave Atlanta too soon. I'm already foreseeing her forcing me to join some club on campus, I'm not prepared for that, after all I have no idea what awaits me.-Come on Shawshank! We will be late. IT'S THE FIRST DAY, SHORTY. -Amy was already impatient waiting for Beca's good will to go to class.
-I'm already hurrying, I need to be calm when tying my shoes! - Beca was irritated early in the morning and Amy certainly wasn't helping.
-I can't wait to see all the hot guys at that college, join a club and OH MY GOD ... -Amy exalts her voice and Beca looks scared - WE WILL DIVIDE A ROOM AND YOU WILL BE COOKING FOR ME BECAUSE YOU KNOW I LOVE YOUR FOOD AND WE'LL BE ABLE TO SEE MANY MOVIES AND SING ... - Amy was running over the words and Beca no longer understood anything.
-Hey Hey hey. Slowly, so I can't understand you - Beca was really out of patience that morning.
-It'll be the best three years of our lives, Shawshank! -Amy said all excited and making Beca roll her eyes.
- I told you to stop calling me that. - She said getting in her car and starting the drive towards college.
