My sister's best friend?

Those words from Aubrey echoed in my head. Her sister's best friend? I don't remember seeing her when we were younger at Bree's. I wasn't really digesting that, after all I really didn't remember anything that came to mind, she is so different from the other girls I have met. I was in that eternal reverie thinking about Aubrey's words, which I didn't even realize was still talking to me.

-Chloe, hey. Are you sleeping standing up? - I looked at her, clutching her head trying to wake up from my reverie. I blinked a few times very quickly trying to get back to reality.

-Sorry. I was thinking. What were we talking about? - I was really trying to remember the girl as Aubrey's sister's best friend. But nothing came to mind. Damn it!

-You came back from the bath talking about the "love of your life" and I found out that you were talking about my sister's best friend. - She said crossing her arms and I certainly was very nervous about all that.

-I think we're confusing people, Bree. I don't remember her in childhood. - Aubrey was still looking at me a little astonished, trying more than me to digest that story.

-She had several ear piercings and a tattoo of headphones on her wrist? - She asked me making me swallow dry.

-Yes ... - I replied relaxed, trying to ease the situation.

-It's Beca! - She says satisfied and looking relieved.

-Is that a good thing? - I asked confused because of your reaction. I didn't understand what she was trying to convey to me.

-I believe so. I know Beca, it will already be a walking path. I won't need to meet her. - She said getting up and organizing some things at school, after all tomorrow we would have class.

- But Bree, I still don't remember her when we were younger. - I sat on my bed making up the things I brought from the bath.

-Remember that little girl who was always glued to my sister and lived in my house? - She spoke without taking her eyes off what she was doing.

-The weirdo? - I spoke without thinking and saw Aubrey shift his attention to me with a reproachful look.

-She's not a weirdo. It is just different. But she was never a weirdo. - She says defending Beca, which I thought was super cute. Aubrey was always tough, but I saw her heart soften when it came to Beca.

-Sorry, Bree. I'm just trying to remember it. - I spoke approaching her chair to get a better conversation with her.

-There are other ways to remember someone. She has other characteristics ... let me see ... Well, she always went to my house with a
yellow bicycle. She always loved the yellow color. - Aubrey speaks turning his attention to his things, but managed to describe Beca perfectly.

-She is that girl who wore a burgundy cap and all star of the same color? Why have you never liked things that didn't match? - I said pulling memories from the deepest part of my brain.

-Yes. -Aubrey answers me with a small laugh, seeming to have good memories of her when she was younger.

-Oh my God! Emily's best friend! - I had an epiphany and everything seemed to make sense. How did I not remember the little girl? Which by the way is taller today than me. Points for her, I like taller people.

-That one! - She speaks satisfied and smiling.

-I was thinking you were your other sister's best friend, but I may have been wrong. - I didn't really associate Beca with that weird little girl from my childhood. Sorry, she is not weird. Maybe she was a little bit when she was younger.
