Mind 02

The next morning was vague. I can’t remember anything and I don’t have any idea where I was.

“You’re awake, at last Ethane. God knows how worried I was.”  She said. She tried to be malacophonous, as if somebody else’ listening.

“Yes; where am I by the way?” I asked using a monotone voice.

I feel different, as if I wasn’t in my own body. As if I don’t know my own voice. I can’t recognize anything about myself

“Oh? You’re in the hospital you’ve been in comatose stage for five long months. We almost loose our hope” she said as she lowered her head and looked away.

“Five months? That long?” I muttered. How could that happened?

“The last thing that I remember was a huge endless space.” I told her honestly.

“Wait, I’ll just go and see the doctor, so that he could explain everything to you.” She calmly stated.

As she went out; the sorrow crosses across the room.

The doctor went inside my room. And? Where is that lady?

“Mr. Messersmith; your girlfriend told me that you want to clear things out.” I just let him speak, and I nodded as a response.

“Five months ago you’ve undergone a total brain operation. You got involved into a fatal car accident.” He continued.

“You were considered brain dead after two months, so we decided to remove your life support. But your girlfriend refused. You’re indeed luck”

“How did I survive?” being in a comatose stage. And worst brain dead.

“God”

“He’s always with us. Even doctors believe in him.” He stated

“ Sebastian by the way” then he leaved me wondering about his GOD.

A soft knock was heard and the lady with green eyes entered.

“Sorry if I left you here alone for a while. I went to your place and get you some clothes to wear. Because your doctor told me that we could eventually go home by tomorrow morning” she explained.

“I’m fine being alone isn’t new to me. I guess?” I wasn’t sure…

Because as far as I could remember… I’ve been alone for so many days in that dark room.

“Your family will be home this evening.”

“Hmm? I want to know them”

“You already know them silly. They are your family.” She chuckled.

My eyes grew bigger.

“You don’t remember… Them?” She stated as if I speak those words unbelievably.

“Do you even know me Ethane?” As if she can’t absorb anything.

“I don’t. I can’t even remember my name! Dammit!” I cursed beyond my breath

Then I saw tears flowing freely from her cheeks. Shit it’s my fault.

“Gosh. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you, I’m just too frustrated. Please forgive me for not remembering you”

I lift myself from the hospital bed and slowly approached her. I pulled her hand slowly and hugged her tight yet not so suffocating.

“It’s not your fault Ethane… you don’t need to apologize”

Then I free her from my arms.

Her face was so peaceful, and angelic. Beautiful is an understatement. She’s gorgeous.

When will be the time that I could remember her? I hope that by that very moment… she’s still mine.

I opened my eyes and I met hers. There is a thump sound inside my chest. Oh majestic Aphrodite.

“Do you want something? “ She asked me. I guess just to break the freezing awkwardness.

“Water?” I wasn’t sure at all.

I heard her soft laughter. Sounds so good Sheen… what am I talking about?
