"Is something the matter sweetie?" Your mother asked as she saw you lazily go down the stairs. Your clothes are a bit messy, the necktie is not tied correctly, your blouse just been lazily put on with your socks on different colors from the other.
Your mother was readying food when here you are, greeting her with a frown on your face and dark bags under your eyes.
It was quite fascinating and a bit... Disgusting to say the least.
You didn't answer as you flopped yourself on the chair and banged your head on the table gently, sighing and mumbling. Your mother neared you and rubbed your back in a soothing manner as she a question.
"Did the nightmares came again?" She asked softly, her voice telling you to say the truth in a smooth and caring manner like a mother should.
She was hurt seeing her beloved daughter like this, she deeply felt worried. If this incessant nightmares happen then you'll break down more than ever.
This started when you turned 14 and that was a year ago yet those dreams didn't stop it's haunting. Every night, your mother would hear you cry, begging the man to stop haunting you.
She did her all, making you go to an doctor in hopes to cure the nightmares and the doctor did his best, trying all the medical treatment for the 'nightmare disorder' it didn't clearly not work.
But in the end, the doctor said it isn't caused by any stress or anything that can cause the disorder and in fact, in your case, it wasn't a disorder and that's when the man said to bring you to the psychiatrist.
Your mother made sure you go every month or even weeks to help you cure it, sure it did stop for a few weeks but then it came back.
A lot more worse than before.
That made it's impact on you that you were bed ridden for a month, recoiling and begging not go to sleep in fear of the man coming back and trying to sexually assault you again.
That one was a lot real than the others, you felt his hands on your throat, the stinging sensation for the whole day. It was the worse.
Anyways, back to the current predicament.
"Yes mom....it was so scary. He- he was chasing me! I don't know what to do! It- it was so dark!" You cried in distress. Your mother sighed and looked at you in pity, it was hard to see her daughter like this.
"Oh honey, please do remember it's just a dream, he isn't real and no one will harm you, I assure you." Those were the words your mother always says, he isn't real and it was just a nightmare.
You doubt it really is.
"Now go fix yourself, you look like mess." Your mother said as she made you look at a mirror nearby. It was true, you do look like shit.
You stood up rather lazily, you don't care about your appearance but maybe, what you look like now makes you look like a homeless person.
"Go go! Faster! You don't want to be late for school don't you?!" Your mother said as she made you move faster, clapping her hand as she watch you go upstairs to your bedroom to finally did yourself.
As soon as your mother heard the clicking of door closing, she sat down the seat in distress. She ran her hand on her hair in stress. She didn't know why in the hell where did these nightmares come from.
It should've had hit here instead other than you.
She could only tearfully ask for the god to keep you safe and hopefully stop the madness of nightmares.
She was greatful to have a daughter with a strong mentality to not give up life up-to now.
"Oh F/N, I hope come and save our daughter."
She could only hope for the best.
