*Five*
The next day the group went down to the beach in the early afternoon. Claire watched as the boys ran ahead straight into the water. She set out her beach blanket blanket and layed out in the sun.
Afew hours passed and Claire haden't gotten in the water once. "Are you just going to sit there all day and sleep?" Jake asked as he shaked water out of his hair.
"You know I can't swim." She called back.
"Then why did you pick a place for vacation that's all beach?" Austin called from alittle farther out in the ocean.
"I don't know! It was a good idea at the time!"
"What if you held onto one of us?" Drake asked while dunking Nick.
"I don't think I trust you enough for that." She said
"Well that's nice to know, best friend." Zach called
"There's a difference between trusting you with science note than with my life!"
"Listen," Nick said as he got out and walked over "We're not going to let you drown, come on.": He finished with extending his hand.
Claire took it, alittle unsure, and walked into the warm water. She stopped short where the water reached her waist, "Okay I'm good."
"Alittle further..." Nick said as he towed her closer to the group.
Once they reached the others, Claire couldn't touch the ocean's floor.
"Can we go alittle in?" She asked as she cluched to Nick.
"No, it's not even deep." Austin said with his head a foot above the water.
"Easy for you to say, you're like 7 feet tall." Claire protested as she moved to Jake.
"Your freaking out over nothing. We're not going to let anything happen to you." Drake said.
"You're right, I know that you guys aren't going to let anything bad happen to me." Claire said as she took a deep breath.
Out of no where, Zach came up behind Claire, lifted her, and thew her afew feet away from the group.
Claire used all her air screaming as she flew through the air and sumerged into the water. The guys where laughing as she struggled to stay above water.
"Help me!" She coughed.
But they continued to laugh as she doggy-paddled to shore. Claire layed on her back as she gasped for air, only when her breathing returned to normal did the boys come to shore.
"Are you okay, Claire?" Jake asked scarcastically.
Claire sat up and starred them down with all the hurt and pain she felt, "Did you think that was funny?" She asked as she looked at all of them seperately.
Austin was the only one that looked away, but the others just nodded and said "Yeah it was."
Claire was suprised at them. All but Zach could tell that they really hurt her, but they didn't apologize.
"You should have seen you face! Priceless!" Zach burst out laughing "Then you went into the water with your mouth open," He sighed "Too funny...''
"We know!" They shouted at him.
Zach looked closer at Claire's face ans his smile vanished "Oh, Claire I-"
"Save it."
"No, really, I am s-" He tried to say.
