Madison
Monday, September 10th"Madison...Madison, I'm off to work, darling..."
I opened my eyes to see Louis' face only inches away from mine. The look on his face was soft as his fingers gently combed my tangled hair away from my face. I breathed in his sweet aroma of his shampoo and cologne mixed together. And him wearing a suit with his hair did all nice was enough to spark something inside of me.
"Good morning, sweetheart," he spoke so softly that it nearly lulled me back to sleep. "I've sent everyone home so you can have some alone time and give you an opportunity to really settle in. They'll be gone for the next three days. Is that alright?" His fingers still combed through my hair and it caused my eyelids to droop. "I'll be home later in the afternoon."
I only hummed in response.
"And I hope you enjoyed yourself last night."
My eyes forced themselves open to focus on Louis' face. His eyes were scanning every detail of my face, his smile growing wider on his own.
"Have I mentioned how beautiful you are?"
I rolled my eyes but grinned. "I look like a rat right now. If we're going to be talking about beauty then it needs to be about you because you look really good this morning...makes me want to repeat last night..."
He chuckled and stood up from his squatting position by the bed. "As much as I would love to repeat last night right now, I have a meeting in two hours, so I can't be late." He straightened his suit jacket out and made sure the collar of his shirt was folded right. "I also thought that we could possibly go out tonight, if you're up for that. Show you around LA, grab a bite to eat, and hang out at the beach or something."
I sat up in the bed and rubbed my eyes, also making sure the sheet was covering my bare chest. "I would actually love to do that. I'm down for that." I dropped my hands to my lap and watched as Louis walked around the bed to grab his wallet and phone.
"I'll be home at noon and we'll leave around one," he said, coming back around the bed to me. "Kiss?" He leaned in and I gladly pressed a kiss to his lips. He hummed and smiled. "One more?" I rolled my eyes and gave him another before he leaned away. "I'll see you later, baby."
"Bye, bye," I said as he walked toward the door. "I'll miss you."
He turned once he was at the doorframe. "I won't be long," he said with a wink before disappearing through the doorway. "Cliff will keep you company!" And almost on cue, Clifford was trotting into the room and jumping onto the bed, plopping down and looking at me with his cute brown eyes. I reached out and ruffled the long, black hair on his head.
The second I heard the front door open and then shut, I was finally crawling out of the bed. The cool air hit my naked skin as I walked into the bathroom to shower. I got myself cleaned up for the day and decided on my outfit for when I go out with Louis: olive green linen trousers, a beige knitted tank top, and a pair of white slip-ons.
I'll dress myself in the outfit for when Louis gets here. I'm just going to wear a pair of Louis' sweats and tee shirt. His scent is embedded in every fabric in his wardrobe, so I like smelling like him sometimes. It's a comfortable scent.
I traveled my way downstairs with Clifford following behind, my feet and his nails against the floor echoed through the quiet house. How far does an echo travel through this large house anyway?
The kitchen was empty of the chefs and the living room was lacking its usual housekeepers. It's just me and the dog. It's actually an odd feeling because of how big the house is. There's too much room for just one person. This house is meant to have tons of people going in and out of it.
