2. Hanging out

Eleanor was playing fortnite with Ryland and you can just tell there was tension. She couldn't help but be annoyed that him and others were prying into her life.

She was happy that Addison wasn't really mad at her, she was just protective towards Eleanor and knew what Bryce was capable of. Eleanor was hoping the stuff she's heard of wasn't true and that people could change.

"Ya know-" Eleanor starts, but Ryland just groans, making Eleanor look confused.

"You're making things awkward, I'm not," Ryland states, "I just want to play,"

"So you're not mad?"

"No, I don't care anymore. But don't come crying to me,"

Eleanor then gets shot in the game, making her throw the controller at the wall and Ryland just shrugs, "Karma."

"I'm out," she throws the pillow she had at Ryland who immediately throws it back as he puts his focus back on the game.

She heads downstairs seeing Nick, Chase, and Tony doing tiktoks. She laughs to herself because it was always funny to see Nick to attempt to dance. He was always stiff.

During Chase's tiktok, Nick was getting distracted in the middle of it by glancing back and forth towards Eleanor. She smiles at him and he gladly returns, but only to be elbowed by Tony who just laughs at him.

"You messed up our tiktok," Tony complains, as Eleanor falls onto the couch and smiles at them.

"What are we doing today?" Eleanor asks them, clearly bored from sitting around and doing nothing.

"We're going to sway house, you should come," Avani walks in, collapsing next to Eleanor as they were both tired, "Nicks coming too, I'm sure they won't mind."

"Let me ask my overprotective overbearing friends," Eleanor puts her finger up and pretends to dial them on her hands and throws the imaginary phone on the floor, "I'm going,"

"Yay! Let's go now! Can we please go now!" Avani begs, standing up and looking at both Eleanor and Nick.

"I mean... uh sure?" Nick asks, awkwardly, "why do you want to go so bad?"

"I miss Anthnoy duh," she answers, already heading for the door but deep down she just wanted Bryce and Eleanor to be together. She had a feeling there was more to the surface.

Chase just walks away on his phone not bothering to say anything and tony looks unamused and didn't really care What's going on.

"Let's go," Eleanor states, following Avani and Nick just goes along with it.

Avani was riding on her scooter and was ahead of the both of them. She looked like a little child who was having fun with her both parents.

Nick on the other hand was nervous and was overthinking what to say to Eleanor. He would open his mouth but nothing would come out and he just wanted to scream so he knows he could speak.

"If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?" Eleanor asks, surprising Nick and not knowing what to say.

He thought about it for a few seconds and to be honest he was fine with where he was at right now. He just wished he could communicate better and was confident enough to have a smart answer.

"I don't know," he mutters, seeing her roll her eyes.

"You don't know!" She exclaims, putting her hands up in confusion, "literally anywhere, Hawaii, Paris, Rome, Sweden, Tokyo!"

"Well where would you want to be?" He asks her and she thinks about it for a second.

"Mexico," she replies quickly, "it's beautiful and the mountains look so pretty. The people seem nice and it just seems wonderful. But of course I want to visit as many places as I can,"
