The screams of excited and happy fans echoed throughout the night sky. The band was playing a show for the 4th of July. Everyone seemed excited, even Cherri.
She grabbed her bass guitar and grinned at Zer0. "I haven't played in so long, I hope I don't embarrass myself!" She said with a nervous laugh. Zer0 chuckled, patting her back. "I'm sure you'll be just fine, Cherri. I doubt you've lost any expierence." Cherri smiled warmly as she heard Bebop introducing the show. "Cmon, lets get out there!" She exclaimed as the four walked on stage.
The whole night was a blast, hearing the laughter of the group of people made Cherri's heart warm. She seemed the happiest she had ever been. That was until one small incident.
BOOM!
The fireworks went off, everyone cheering at their pretty colors. Cherri's eyes went wide as she looked at her feet. She couldn't see the colors, only the noises. She let out a gasp, her pupils getting small as she ran off the stage. Spine looked at her in confusion before looking at his two band mates. "Go check on her. I'll be there in a second." Zer0 was already off the stage, chasing after her, Rabbit behind him.
Cherri sat under a tree far from the stage. She had her head in her knees, trembling. The noises of the explosions were repeating in her head. She gripped onto her hair, her breathing getting heavy. "Hey Hey, shhh.." she heard a calm voice say. She opened her eyes to see Zer0 standing by her. "Hey girl, we're here.." he whispered, sitting beside her. Rabbit had made her way beside Cherri and hugged her. "W-We're Sorry c-c-Cherri.. we t-totally forgot about th-the incident.." she felt awful. Cherri hugged rabbit back, a small sigh escaping her mouth. "Your fine.. it isn't your fault.." she said in a shaky voice. "Well, I just canceled the show for the rest of the night." The spine explained as he walked over. "So, I'm gonna make sure we all stay and make sure your okay." Cherri looked at Spine in worry. "Hey, don't do that! I-" the spine quickly cut her off. "You aren't fine, Cherri. Don't hide it." He said with a huff, sitting on the grass. "We aren't leaving until we see you smile. Even if it takes me to get GG out." Cherri giggled, smiling happily.
"I.. I love you guys." The three gathered for a group hug. "We love you too." Zer0 said with a smile.
