I was born on Krypton but sent to Earth, I am the Superman. I was sent here when I was a baby, since my home planet was destroyed by a nuclear chain reaction. It blew up my planet and lead to my weakness being Kryptonite. In this case I was sent to Earth to help out as I got older.
I was 13 when my first real problem occurred. It was Halloween night; I was out with my two best friends Krista and Brent. They were the only other people who knew about my powers besides my new parents. Anyway we were walking down the road when a loud boom came from no where. Krista let out a scream and ran behind me. “It’s ok,” I told her, “it was just thunder,” she came out from behind my back, “I knew that,” she said and started walking. Brent started to laugh as he and I joined her walking. I looked up to the sky and stared at the full moon. “It’s gorgeous right?” Krista said in awe. I nodded and we started walking. “Hey, whose house is that?” Brent asked. I looked ahead and saw a house I’ve never noticed before. “Not sure, let’s go check it out.” Krista shook her head nervously. “It looks scary, and haunted,” she spoke. “Stop being a baby and let’s go, it being haunted it is even cooler! Let’s go!” Brent said as he walked ahead. “Hey, it’s ok, you’ll be fine, I’m here.” I told Krista. “I guess I will be since superman is here.” She winked before walking off. I stalked after her.
Brent knocked on the door, there was no response. He knocked a second time, no response. “Hey use your powers to open the door magic man.” Brent mocked me. “Move aside peasant,” I said as I used my heat vision to melt the locks. “Happy?” I said. He nodded and walked in. The three of us piled in. The place was creepy, dusty, and smelled like Brent’s feet. There were noises, more like voices coming from the other room, “hello?” I called out, no answer. “Let’s check out the back,” Brent said as we all walked around the house since we didn’t want to walk through it. When we got to the back yard we could believe our eyes. A giant, UFO was landing right in front of us. We all ran to the side of the house hoping who ever came out of it wouldn’t see us. The door of it opened down and two people came out. The man let out a devilish laugh after the woman said something in his ear. “Use your hearing power thing, and listen in!” Krista whisper-yelled. “Ok,” I responded and listened in. “We’ve found a place to bring our people to! All we have to do is find people to help us.” The man spoke. “They want to take over the world, blah blah blah, the usually creepy alien stuff,” I told Brent and Krista. “But you didn’t want to take over the world?” Brent smirked. He knew I hated when they made fun of me and made jokes calling me an alien. Out of anger I picked him up and threw him out into the backyard making the people-alien-things notice him. He stood up as they started to hover over to him. “It be an earthling,” the guy said. “They have bad grammar, Ms. Meinking would hate them!” Krista said in my ear. Ms. Meinking is our English teacher. “You help us, now.” They picked him up and started to carry him to their ship and he just sat there shocked. “Put him down!” I yelled and they turned to look at me. The woman dropped Brent’s legs and walked over to Krista and I. I stood up and punched her square in the nose. She fell backwards knocked out. The man dropped Brent who fell to the ground. The man started to charge but I quickly grabbed Krista and flew above his head to where Brent lay. I put Krista down and she helped Brent get up. Together they went to the corner of the house as the man began to run towards me but fell to the ground half-way. I walked over to him; he didn’t seem to be breathing neither did the woman. What did I do?
