I look out the window: The grim, grey sky seems to be enveloping the world, and I see small rain drops hitting my window.

And then all of a sudden the bus came to an abrupt halt. We never normally stop here. And then the doors bust open revealing a tall boy with dark brown hair that had little droplets of glistening rain and a fringe that flopped to one side almost covering his eye. He was dressed in all black- what an emo! I've never seen him before so I assume he's new, he looks about a year or two younger than me.

I look around the bus to see others' reactions to this new emo character. I see people whispering to each other shiftily,  not approving of him.

He walks down the middle trying to find a seat and everyone moves their bags to the seat next to them as if to say he can't sit there. He gets to the back of the bus, but still there's no one willing to let him sit.

Then the doors close and the bus jolts forward and starts moving, he trips slightly at this and everyone around him laughs at him.

I feel sorry for him by this point, so I move down a seat allowing him to sit next to me. He notices this and seats himself beside me.

I go back to my muse and move Myself closer to the window and I just stare out, avoiding talking to him.

I've been on this bus for half a minute and already I feel like a stupid idiot. God! Why do I have to be so clumsy ?!

I can feel everyone judging me, but I guess I should be used to it after 14 years. I've never been the kind of person  people approach, people just sort of tend to ignore me and pretend I'm not there. Besides, who wants to be friends with the weird dorky kid?

But then this guy let me sit next to him, he didn't look to eager about it but he was the only person kind enough to let me near him. He had a fringe too, just like me only it was black and flicked to the other side; his clothes however said something completely different about him they were simple, yet bright and colourful. I saw most of him but I couldn't quite catch his face, because throughout the entirety of the bus ride he was facing the other way.

He looked interesting, like the kind of person  I'd like to be friends with, then again what do I know about friends?

I feel like this whole new beggining, fresh start thing just ain't gonna work. But as my mother says "never give up, if you don't see something out till the end then you'll never know what you're missing out on". So I guess I'm just going to have to roll with it, because you never know, maybe there will be a something special waiting for me at the end. Maybe I might just get a happy ending...
