I was just finishing packing up the last of my stuff off my cabin desk. Just when I'm done arranging all my stuff before heading out to the cafe I heard my phone ringing. Sighing I picked up my phone to see it was Jessica calling me. I pick it up and put it on speaker, continue to pack my things up. "Hey Jess. Did you already reach the cafe.. I'm so sorry I'm just leaving my clinic. I'm so sorry it was a last minute emergency! I'll be there in 15 mi-".

"Sof relax! I called to inform that we won't be able to meet today. Sharon is stuck with extremely huge workload her boss has apparently put on her while fuming to work till late. And I also just got a call from my manager to meet up with her for the upcoming exhibition. We're so sorry we won't be able to make it."

I took a minute to process the information just provided to me. "Oh no no it's completely fine. No need to apologize. I understand. Guess I'll just surprise Chris by going home early."

"Yeah how is his health now? Sharon had filed the sick leave for him in the office today as extra measure after he called in."

"I talked to him during lunch he said he was feeling much better but still had a headache. I'm thinking of picking up his favorite Shrimp Soup from the Deli as a surprise too."

Chris was my boyfriend of 2 years. And I shared my condo with him due to his apparent being under some renovations. I'm so excited about our anniversary tomorrow too! We had met through Sharon as they both worked in the same department in Parker Enterprises. He asked me out after hanging with their group for some time. I went out on a few dates with him and we just clicked. I do like him a lot... But I don't think I love him yet. Though he had confessed his love for me... I just had this gut feeling that something was not right...

"Yeah, you do that. I gotta hang up now. Work calls. Bye!" Jess said a bit distractedly. She and Chris did not get along that well. They weren't hostile to each other, but still it was like she didn't accept him. At first I just thought she was just protective of me after what happened the last time.. But still they did not get along that well....

"Bye! See you soon Jess!"

And I hung up the phone, slipping it into my purse while leaving the elevator.
"Bye Dan!" I greeted the receptionist on the way.

"Bye Sof! Have a good weekend!" He repled back.

I worked at the Maxwell Hospital as a cardiologist. After graduating high school u studied day and night to achieve my dream of being a doctor. Getting as the position of a cardiologust here I ony came to the hospital 4 days a week except when I'm called in. And spend the rest of the free time I have with my friends and boyfriend and at the orphange. I loved spending time with the children there doing stuff from coloring to reading them bed time stories. They were all so adorable.

I got in my Audi A8 and started it. Loving the feeling of my car coming to life as I drove back home.

Exiting the elevator, I put my keys in the keyhole of my condo, quietly stepping in as to not disturb Chris if he was asleep or busy.

As soon as stepped in, I heard some weird noises coming from my room. Afraid that something was wrong, I picked up my bat from under the sofa. Quitely tiptoeing to my bedroom door to see what was wrong.

But I was not ready for the sight that greeted me as soon as I opened up the door.
No one could be ready to see what I saw right there. Never in my life did I expect to see this.......
