Random one-shot

--------------------

I was sleeping in my hotel room, the soft blankets making it feel like a cloud.

My hair had recently been cut, due to it being weird for me to have longer hair. Especially, fueled by people at school calling me "Girl" by accident.

I'm a boy, always have been, always will be.

The night had been colder than usual and the air condition was on, making the room colder. I didn't mind though, I like snuggling under warn blankets in a cold room.

What bothered me was the fact I wasn't holding anyone close.

Knox.

I was supposed to be holding him close, making sure he was safe.

I was supposued to be kissing his forehead and whispering sweet nothings into his ear, making his hazel eyes light up with happiness.

I was supposued to be waking up next to him, feeling blessed just to see his smile everyday.

I wasn't though.

Knox wrapped his arms around my stomach, his head buried in my back.

I didn't dare turn around.

Knox kissed my back, soemthing he did whenever I wasn't wearing a shirt.

I felt him smile.

I could smell his scent, it always smelled like sweets and fresh fruit.

I heard his small feet pat against the wood floor, I finally turned and looked at him.

Knox's hands were pressed up against the window, the moonlight washing over him.

It made him glow and look like an angel.

"You have to see this," He said, as I watched his hair move in the slight wind. "There's a family of elk." He added, his eyes full of wonder.

I smiled, no moving.

How could you expect me to?

My beloved has been dead for over a year.
