Chapter 1

Noah pov

"Noah, what the hell!" I jump out my skin as my sister storms in to my office. Well what's the point in knocking anyway!

"What do you want Ava, i'm working as you should be too" I watch her roll here eyes as i smirk at her i know exactly what this rude intrusion is about.

"How do you expect me and my team to design 15 new pieces of jewelry in just over 2 months on top of all the custom pieces and the summer collection, we are already half drowning in trying to complete! We already have the valentines collection done, 20 pieces designed and approved and already being made! Why do we need to add new pieces to the collection?" I laugh seeing her panting for breath after her rant. She starts to eye dagger me so i guess this would be a good time to explain myself.

"Well this year we want to appeal to the higher end customer more as you know and me and dad were reviewing the valentines collection again and we saw a gap with in the pricing so maybe a few more diamonds and a fancy look to them. And bam! We will have the high-end customers kneeling in front of us."

As i finish my sister is literally looking at me like i have 4 heads, but i know she will do exactly what i have requested and at a higher standard than just fancy looking!

" Well i'm going to need to hire and train at least 4 new designers and have i told you how annoying you are. I'm literally going to be living at the office for the next two months because of you so i want at least a weeks spa retreat when this is all over!" I smirk nodding at her knowing she would live at the office if she could over the next two months but i won't allow that neither would my mum she would probably kill me if i was allowing my sister to live here!

"Also with this new big collection launch i'm going to help plan an event to promote the new items. So I've hired a event planning company to assist our current teams as its short notice. You may be pulled into some of the meetings and i will send the event planner down once they get here."

"Ughhh every time you open your mouth today brother you seen to give me more work. Right I better get going to break the news to my team so if i were you i would avoid the 24th floor today and the next two months unless you have a few stacks of spa voucher! And don't forget Thursday night dinner is tonight" I chuckle as i watch my sister dramatically exit my office.

I go back looking at the many unanswered emails staring me in the face i sighed and start sifting through them i stop and read the one from the event planning company, we had used them a few times before where we had used the same event planner but it looks like from this email she isn't available which is frustrating as she was a perfectionist and she let me be a control freak about every little detail. So it will be interesting to see how this Kira Bowan will do she is traveling from Essex to London tomorrow so i must tell my assistant to find her a flat to stay in for the next three months even through we aren't that far from Essex and set a meeting for tomorrow.

After around 3 hours more of work i noticed that it was almost 6 pm shit! I'm meant to be at my parents in about an hour for dinner ever since i moved out and then my sister a few years later every Thursday night we have dinner together. But at this rate i'm going to be late, my parents live in the outskirts of London most of the time they still have our childhood house in Essex that they stay at for a few weeks of the year and a holiday home in Majorca that i got them for Christmas last year that they stayed in for most of summer this year. I quickly get myself together and drive to my apartment which is only 5 minutes away from the office to get changed and to grab a bottle of wine then make my way through the busy London streets to the quieter area my parents live in. Surprisingly i'm only 15 minutes late which is quite impressive for Thursday night dinners.

I'm greeted by my dad and my younger brother he is 16 so he's still at secondary school on his final year so he lives at home with my parents. We make small talk over the company and my dad as always trying to find a way to be more involved and get harry interested in the family business i have made.

Once my mum and sister exit the kitchen we all sit at the dining table and tuck into the creamy chicken and bacon tagliatelle. It's our family's signature dish it's incredible as always! After the long life update from my mum and sister on top of her moaning to my parents about the workload i have put on her. Then as expected my mum looks at me waiting for my life update for them which it pretty boring considering i spend my life at work so not much to update them on. So i tell them about the new Netflix series i have started with my mum looks extremely unsatisfied with my answer.

I look at my dad with a save me look but no he lets my mum lecture me on how i need to focus on my life outside the business blah blah blah. I roll my eyes dramatically at her and tell her how i went out with my friend Rhett the other night but apparently he doesn't count as we have been friends since we were four and he is apart of the company as our family are so close it made sense to have trusted people help us run finch and family.

At the end of the evening my mum informs us all we are going to spend Christmas in our childhood house which is still a few weeks and a bit away but she likes to be organised i guess.It's slightly irritating as i will be around and hour and so away form the office and my flat so i will be stuck at my parents for the whole of the Christmas festivities. Great more time for my mum and my other relatives question me on my social and love life! Yay.
