The Biggest Regret

Introduction (read this first)

In this world, magical beings exist. Some with forms like mammals, some like plants, and some with no form at all. Others are in forms like water, air, earth, and fire. These are divine beings.

These are categorized into three factions: Slyrpias, Cronas, and Killias. The Slyrpias are the divine beings. They are the strongest types of beast and they keep nature alive. Somewhat like the mothernature of this world. The Cronas are those like mammals which socialize with humans. They can be harmless but some are very large. These are similar pets. The Killias are those which either stay away or harm humans. These beings made the humans have the mentality of 'hunt or be hunted' when with the Killias.

The ratio of men to women is 2:1. 

Everyone's mentality is set on logic. Their emotions are cut in half compared to our world. They all think of solutions which will be beneficial and not based on mere emotions.

Every female has a spera. A spera is the manifestation of the soul's spiritual form which gives its consumer accelerated abilities. It comes from the soul's emotion and is emanated in forms similar to auras. Its heaviness depends on the person''s personality and state of mind.

In order to take control of their speras, they can either master it or have men consume it and use it as their 'charger'. Only very few are able to master it which is why majority choose to have their partners consume most of it. 

Every man, on the other hand, have abilities. These abilities can be anything. Morphing, transforming, magic, anything. Although, men need speras to serve as their 'energy source'. Once a man is no longer 'charged' he will be unable to use his abilities. This is advantageous for both genders. 

If a woman was to have to much spera and is unable to take control of it, she would turn into a fal. A fal is a being similar to killias. Their speras are much heavier and they develop abilities of their own. Also, their aging process would be much slower compared to that of a human. If they loose too much, they will go in a state of coma because they've been drained of their spiritual abilities.

If a man was to consume too much spera, they will turn into nukes. Nukes are men that lose control of their abilities and their bodies go on overloads. There are three stages before their bodies go through complete transformations. 
Stage 1: Symptoms. Their abilities get stronger or activate without the user's intention to do so.
Stage 2: Coma. Their bodies go in a state of shock which makes the male automatically go in a temporary slumber.
Stage 3: They turn into nukes and lose control of their abilities completely.
Every nuke that ever existed had been executed by the government,

Men consume speras from women through imprinting their insignias. The way to imprint it may vary depending on the ability, the bloodline, or the personality of the male. Although there are temporary imprints for those who are still training. These will not be the insignias of the males but matching insignias imprinted on the pairs.

Most women pair up with only one male. Although there are special cases where the female is capable of pairing up with 2, which is the highest recorded number of partners, depending of the amount of spera she can produce.

There are two ways for men to consume the speras of females:
1. Direct Contact. This is done with physical contact. This enables anyone to consume any female's sclera without having to use insignias. The more skin touches the other, the more they consume. Drinking the female's body fluids, such as blood which is the main source of their sclera, is also considered direct contact. 
2. Indirect Contact. This is done with the use of insignias. This enables the partners to consume the female's sclera even at a distance as far as the other end of the world. With this, the partners can tell if the other party's health is normal. Once an abnormality occurs with the other party, depending on the number of males, all the party members will feel it as well. 

There is an academy where children are taught to use these to fight Killias and train. This is called the Aristellia Academy. This academy's students are called Aristellians by the general public.

In middle school, students are taught day by day techniques on how to kill the Killias and females are trained to control their Speras before pairing up with the male suitable with their type of Spera on graduation so that they may control it alone in the worst case scenarios. Every student is required to find a suitable candidate for official partnership before entering high school.

In high school, each pair will be given imprints on both genders in a similar one would put on a temporary tattoo. Students are trained with their pairs in order to improve their fighting styles and harmony until they will be proven compatible. Once their techniques are perfected and the pairs are compatible, the male/s will imprint individual insignia/s unto the female's body in order to officially become partners.

The only possible ways to remove the insignia/s are:
1. If the male attempts to inflicts a lethal wound on the female using their abilities;
2. If one of them dies; 
3. Or if the female looses control of their speras and transforms.

Every year, students from middle school which are ready to take on actual combat but can't find partners and high school are brought to a training center in Metriplicia, the capital of the world.

Here, middle schoolers will have all out battles with the same genders until there are only ten students left. The last ten will have individual combat fighting and the top three females will be tested to see their sclera emission and see how many partners they can have. The top 3 males will be given the right to choose who they want as partners and everyone else will choose their own partners.

In high school, they are given temporary scleras to use for their indirect sclera consumption and to develop their fighting styles. If the parties are not comfortable with their partners, they will be sent back to middle school  to find new partners. Once the parties are comfortable with their partners, they are trained to create their own combat styles. Once their combat styles are perfected or are ready for actual combat, they will have battles similar to the middle schoolers. There will be people with missions watching the high school's fight. This gives the high scholers opportunities to find missions and start their careers. The top 50 will graduate and the rest will continue to fight. If 3 years will have passed and the students have failed to graduate, they will be given practical tests to see if they are truly ready for combat. If they are, they will graduate. If not, they will be given tutors and once told to go through the practical exams again, they will be allowed to take it any time of the year.
